    Saw advice

Bought a 395 two weeks ago, came with 36" 404. Waiting on a 24" bar but holy hell is it a strong saw, wouldnt like to be horsing it around all day but for big timber it is savage. If you are going to be using it all the time get a 576 or if its used infrequently get a 372. From my experience autotune saws dont like being left in the shed too long... 😊😊 Sent from my SM-G361F using Arbtalk mobile app
  2. So it finally arrived yesterday... 36"bar, 404 chain. Gonna run it on aspen while im breaking it in, €25 a gallon though 😯😯 just need some decent weather to get it warmed up and ill be a happy boy then! Sent from my SM-G361F using Arbtalk mobile app
  3. Husky 61 special edition from 89, found it in the loft of a barn and got it for a days labour cutting firewood. New plug and a good clean and its running perfectly... also picked up a 98 efco 134 for €90 last week, needs a chain brake handle, otherwise perfect.... Sent from my SM-G361F using Arbtalk mobile app

  5. Has anyone here any experience of a Negri R220 chipper? Sent from my SM-G361F using Arbtalk mobile app

  7. 576 will be balls out on a 30" bar, 395 is your job there.... I'd second the idea to get it ported too!! Sent from my SM-G361F using Arbtalk mobile app
  8. Only for about a grand to spend so wanna buy as big as possible. It'll rarely be used on 36" bar but I figure it should reall fly on a 20 or 24" and still have spare capacity for really big stuff....will 7 pin on a 20/24" keep the chain spinning fast enough?
  9. Looking at a 395 but just curious as to whether it's a straight swap between a 20 and 36" bar? Or do I need to be swapping sprockets to get the best out of it? Sent from my SM-G361F using Arbtalk mobile app

    Work

Id agree with that, round here especially all the auld women like to tell the neighbour's that they've got the same gardener as the bishop and they won't complain in case I don't come back.... as for the diocese I deal with one person out of a commuter and no-one else, but that's a general rule for any comitees anyway.... 13. My girlfriend is heading to London for two years work so contemplating following her. I have my saw tickets done in Ireland but don't know if they're any good for UK? I know that any of the construction tickets have to be redone but don't know about any arb tickets. Anyone got any idea? Sent from my SM-G361F using Arbtalk mobile app

  15. I didn't mean that you would make a balls of it, I meant of I went at it myself I'd make a bad job of it. In all the reading I've done on this I've yet to hear a bad review of your work. I'm after buying a second-hand 200 and it won't be used for any climbing work really, just the odd bit of pruning, mostly Apple trees. What kind of a price would you be talking to port it or is that like asking how much is a piece of string? Sent from my SM-G361F using Tapatalk
  16. Im clueless when it comes to modding stuff and don't want to (or afford to) make a balls of the saw. Is it just a bigger hole in the muffler? is there much to be gained from porting a 200?
  17. Any more photos of the muffler mods on the 200?
  18. Anybody able to Id this? It's in a 10-15 year old half acre grove in limerick, ireland
  19. Funds are right so looking at two second hand saws. Anybody used either, any problems, etc?
  20. My chipper man upgraded from a tracked 150 to this last month, couldn't believe the difference. No longer having to dress every fork or gnarl, it just grabbed and pulled it in!! Had him priced for the day and he was gone in 4 hours!!
  21. https://www.donedeal.ie/otherfarmmachinery-for-sale/wood-chipper-with-honda-gx390-engine-deleks/11586363 anyone ever dealt with/ seen these machines before?
  22. What did it cost from Rob? Did you get the sugi bar or echo?
  23. Just priced that little echo in ireland, €575 with the 10" echo carving bar but he couldn't tell me was it the .50 or.43 chain. What's it costing in Britain?
  24. Anyone running oleo mac saws? very clean 956 for sale locally. Have a backpack blower, brushcutters and a small efco (same company) saw and have been very lucky with them....
  25. Great saw. Picked one up as payment for a job last year, hadn't been run in 5years. Fresh juice and a new plug and fired up after 30 seconds. Is there any way of mounting a bubble to fill the carb?
