  1. It may well have compromised the safety material of the trousers, but they might be ok-are you willing to risk it? If it were me id buy new ones. As said above Yukons are pretty cheap compared to other makes so just replace
  2. True...although there seems to be some that nit pick and revel in arguements which ruin and derail threads to the point where others dont want to comment or take part.
  3. We all have our opinions which weve aired so i ll just say thanks for posting the pictures john, looks like a great place to work and have a positive influence on the young ones coming through in the industry. Oh and sack that tutor for letting that student put his gob in too high..lol
  4. You ever been in a tree felling course eggs? 4 students to 1 tutor means its difficult to keep an eye on everything all the students are doing. I get what your sayin but these are students and even with the best of direction they will still do things wrong.
  5. Fair point but maybe just maybe it was the apprentices first time putting a tree the deck. My 1st attempt at felling was bloody awful. People need practice before perfection is achieved
  6. Your tits look good in that mate...shoes dont match though..
  7. Yeah matelots comments on this thread have obviously been deleted...i mean theres nothing here to blame immigration on..except of course Reg is a British immigrant in Canada...
  8. 😂😂 brilliant Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  9. I havent worn mine climbing but ive had in on when its pissin down and it stays dry inside
  10. Advise too remove larch and cypess and replant summit they like. Arsing around with those trees will do nowt but make em look stupid and compromise theyre health.
  11. Yeah its not Reg's greatest work but i like watching his video's.I dont mind using company issued t shirts, dont see a problem with it. To each his own.. Matelot nice to see you partake in a non political thread.
  12. I bought a rope grab off ebay some years back, kinda a cheap chinese rip off of the rock exotica ones. Cant bring myself to use it,just couldnt trust it. If its non ppe fine but with life support equipment i would avoid chinese copies.
  13. Thought id post this too get some opinions. Interesting one from Mr Coates
  14. In my experience work up here is very inconsistant and lower paid than down south. Just my tuppence worth Good luck with whatever you chose to do mate
  15. Get one, really good product, decent price also you can get livery printed on it.Sams a great bloke too
  16. Not if you make a large loop (eye).Same goes for a doubled rope figure 8 knot.
  17. Double figure 8 with a large eye
  18. My advice to you is go down south, seriously there are very limited oppertunities for young arborists in Scotland, espescially the central belt unless you stumble across a council position which are very rare. You will learn more by being in employment with a company in England as they can get continious work,in Scotland most companies arent busy for tree work in the winter months. Seriously go down south mate.
  19. Same as Timon 3:1 with a pulley prussik
  20. In my best del boy voice.."fair do's michael.."
  21. To be fair mick it sounds more like a feed roller issue rather than blunted blades
  22. He's havin a giraffe,hence the spinning head:001_smile:
