  1. She certainly has spent a lot of money on tree surgeons over the years.
  2. Take a look at this vid from the film The Mule, brilliant music by Toby Keith. I actually bought the dvd of the film to watch tonight.
  3. Often it’s the people who have an idea that’s a little different and the bollocks to follow it through.
  4. Been knocking around for a few weeks on various platforms. My guéss is the fire burns cool and extinguishes itself quickly after running out of material. But like Steve I’d like to know for sure.
  5. I pull a 2 tonne loader in a trailer most days in my Ranger. 2.2 with 145hp, I never feel I’m an embarrassment on the motorway or elsewhere if you know what I mean.
  6. The stuff nightmares are made of! Getting it done though.
  7. Removing diseased trees from the canal du midi. (Well it’s Friday night)
  8. Definitely go for option 1. Bollocks to them.
  9. The most important thing is chip capacity. I’m guessing the Transporter will hold a lot more than the others. Pick that.
  10. Or just buy a quad or compact tractor to take it wherever you need.
  11. No, it isn’t really a very good one, poor stuff on my part. What I was trying to say was that the idea that you’re either completely up to date and following every safety procedure or you’re big Gary on a ladder etc...
  12. Bizarro! I had a tracked 25 hp single roller Timberwolf back in the day. It was crap.
  13. Thanks for chiming in. The gas engineer comparison falls down when you realise that the consequences of a poor gas fitter can be your family dying of carbon monoxide poisoning or being blown up. A bad tree surgeon will leave you with a badly pruned tree (that’ll probably grow back)
  14. That is a tale of woe and then some. I ran a Rayco 25 and now a 35, never had any issues as serious as those.
  15. Perhaps, or perhaps it’s just a wasted year or two using something that’s just delaying you getting the right machine.
  16. Watching IDS eating his own bogeys was 1000x worse
  17. Chipping branches without a chipper.
