  1. Doesn’t ascending on SRT double the pull on the (uninspected) anchor point compared to drt?
  2. Isn’t that what we do anyway? Prize money being the price of the job?
  3. Drag it to the bank and use a telehandler to lift it out of the water? Avoid damaging the delicate banks like that. Crane on DHs vid looked sweet though.
  4. Ok, I’m a bit hard of thinking, but your second paragraph says on a non srt system (ie. drt) you can use a number of different ways to avoid using two lines, as long as you record it on your RA.
  5. So if you’re climbing with a zz/Prussia/blake’s on a double rope system, and a lanyard for another attachément point when cutting you’re ok?
  6. No probs, Sunday night. I’m sure this’ll run for a bit anyway. Thanks for the reply.
  7. Ok thanks, then in reality (and I know you mentioned it earlier) there will be three points of attachment a lot of the time. Were the AA consulted about this and did the AA go along with it?
  8. No Paul it doesn’t help. Are you saying that at all times, whilst moving around the tree there should be two points of attachment?
  9. I wouldn’t worry about it, they’ll get new leaders very quickly, and in that position they will not last more than 15/20 years before they have to come out.
  10. Toxic people get a bad press. Anyway maybe you’re the toxic one (whatever that means)
  11. Professional cage fighter you say? How’s that working out for him if he’s dossing on an industrial estate?
  12. ‘Buy land, they stopped making it years ago’ Actually, who would have guessed what a great thread this would become?
  13. Just read that out to the wife, great post Gary.
  14. 4K will get you a very nice transit/cab star tipper and save ruining a perfectly good 4wd pick up.
  15. Is it perhaps the rather unoriginally name Blue Underwing Moth? https://www.google.fr/search?q=catocala+fraxini&client=safari&hl=en-gb&prmd=ivn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiOkN-8tqvkAhVNURoKHfiqABkQ_AUIFigB&biw=1024&bih=666#imgrc=oo1rlYef0-6caM
  16. Stubs, if you apologise, like I know you’re going to, I might just convince my mule that you’re just playing around.
  17. Sounds like a fubarred gas strut.
  18. Painted lady, taken today.
  19. Because there’s no situation that can’t be answered with a Father Ted reference..
  20. Nice work, definitely need machinery for a job like that. Question, was that a recent job? Leaves still look pretty good considering leaf miner and all that.
  21. Well, I wonder what has caused the improvement down here, anyone else in the Deep South of the UK noticed the same as the avantgardener?
