  1. Thanks, that was a 562, lovely saw. Édit. The saw up in the crown is a 550, the topper had just run out of fuel with one cut to go, so I brought it up early.
  2. It’s more work stacking piles of brash and cutting stuff into logs than stuffing it in a chipper.

  4. Chipping will reduce the space needed to remove waste by up to 10x.

  13. Oh he’s fine, gets a walk round the lake twice, guards the van, salami sandwiches. Never known a happier dog in the morning when he’s in the van.

  15. My new 540 hasn’t got it fitted but it’s in the bag with the scrench and handbook etc. So if you want it you can put it on.
  16. Compared to some others species they’re a relatively quick growing and quick dying tree.
  17. There’s nothing wrong with modules, certificates, tickets and all that Jazz, it all helps in the learning process. However getting ‘tickets’ doesn’t make you a climber, or even mean you can climb to the level that someone will pay you money to do it.
