  1. Of course, but it’s something to aim for
  2. Loaders of some sort are the difference between one level of tree company and another. You really have to have one if you are a serious outfit competing for larger take downs/work.
  3. No cash here, all by the books.
  4. 260 working days in a year 260x750 = 195000 turnover per year. I don’t call that a bad figure for a two man team, especially if one is a brash dragger on a small wage.
  5. Triple extension ladder to the first branch, no wires, lowering straight into the chipper right underneath, get rid of the wood for free. Sure 750 without vat is cheap, but for a two man gang in an competitive market it’s decent money.
  6. Not today, wife’s is off so he stays with her. Not happy! And to you Les, have a good one
  7. We’re n hour ahead of you guys, so just loaded the van and off we go in 10mins. Last day of work today. Till the 28th anyway. Ps what is CRABS? And what dog?
  8. Easy days work for a gang. TO should have allowed felling before the build, ridiculous.
  9. Not sure, but if it gets people asking questions of their insurer rather than hoping for the best it’ll be a good thing.
  10. It’s actually a good thread, in the sense that it’s one we can learn from.
  11. Dunno Mark, unless you asked them directly I think ‘suggests’ doesn’t mean a lot.
  12. What a load of bollocks, cut the tree down.
  13. Was a ferreter myself in my youth. Snares are unpleasant, used them once, never again.
  14. Used engine oil is better. In all seriousness up to 2009/10 fire were SOP, bit different now.
  15. I know I would cut the seal and open it up. Saves on using old tyres for lighting fires anyway!
  16. Clear what happened, co-dom leylandii, guy didn’t realise.
  17. I think we forget that insurance, like many other things, is a product. Some are better and more expensive than others. You can pay more and have quicker payout and hire reimbursement (check with your broker) or just get the cheapest and hope you never have to use it.
  18. Interesting, thanks for chiming in, I had wondered about this.
  19. Yeah, I don’t really get it, hash tagging and stuff. There’s no real debate on there or FB. Its my nephew who loads the pictures. It’s actually a free iCloud type thing to store your photos/vids, even if no one looks at them.
  20. Ah prolly that. Insta is ok actually. Good pictures and stuff.
