No it’s the best! No milk though, black tea is my day drink. Leave the teabag in and fill it with boiling water and off you go. I can’t stand all this bringing of bits and bobs, t bags, milk, sugar, cuppasoups. Almost as bad as those sickos who bring Tupperware boxes of last nights stinky dinner and eat it with a plastic fork. They want shooting.

I think I’m more annoyed because I really believed in him.

I genuinely feel sad for nearly every prime minister when or if it all comes tumbling down, Brown, Major, Heath, Callaghan, Thatcher and Cameron. People who followed their beliefs and tried to make a difference as they saw it. Didn’t like some, glad to see the back of others. I have zero compassion for this lying POS. He deserves no sympathy, and every knife in the back he gets is merited.

He’s dead Stubs, no happy ending. An ignominious end to a life that started so well but a series of poor choices (he bought a Forst) led to a sordid death in a shabby hostel. Happily the wife is a bit of a sort and found love with a Warrington bus driver. Life finds a way.

I had similar with a chipper. Yes you have to charge VAT, you’re a VAT registered company and you must charge VAT on your goods and services. If I’m wrong, fair enough.

Could be right. We will see I guess. I was here in France for the financial crisis of 2008/9. It was no picnic. I don’t see many firms going bankrupt, most just sell off their equipment, pay off their loans, get a job in the pub to tide them over, get caught spit roasting the pub landlady with a mate in the car park on a cocaine bender, divorce the wife who turns the kids against him, then dies choking on his own vomit in a single mens refuge. A tale as old as time.

In many ways I don’t mind JV. Sometimes I listen and I think ‘how can you be so naive?’ I remember him being astonished that lorry drivers piss in bottles and chuck it out the window. That people can drink as much as a bottle of wine a night. That anyone would drive over a hundred miles an hour just because they wanted to. He is the living embodiment of the metropolitan elite.

It’s difficult to apply real metrics to quote conversion. I went to look at a job today, few branches off a cherry, bit off a horse chestnut overhanging a neighbour, bit of this, bit of that, awkward drag out of a garden etc. Quoted a price, they shit themselves, far too pricey, fair enough. Some guy with a ladder, Makita and a trailer behind a Kangoo could do it half my price. I’m geared up for bigger work, removals and all that. Question is how many jobs that I’m really in the mix for do I get?
