  1. Yellow leaves falling off is quite normal, as is the odd one struggling. My employee sprinkled a bit of Blood, Fish and Bonemeal at the base of his new laurel hedge, seemed to invigorate it he said. I’d pull off the yellowing leaves and you should see new buds underneath. Give it till the end of the summer at least.
  2. Agreed, there was a guy who changed for the swinging hammers on the MO FB page. There was talk of the welded lugs failing. Can’t remember the details. I should try heavier paddles, got to get the plug in bit changed fro MO to Avant first though!
  3. You’re right to be wary. My Multione 9.5 (now Avant 750) runs a flail, results can be patchy, stuff like brambles, bracken and the like it’s excellent. Long grass it tends to just stroke down and woody saplings lose the bark and that’s it. Get a demo if you can.
  4. S’right, best two years figures I ever had, and I’m not alone.
  5. Wish everyone was as keen to go to work as this one.
  6. Love all three, but the John Mills version is my favourite.
  7. Be ready next Tuesday Pete.
  8. I start by holding it in one hand and starting it with the other, Three goes like that and the bastard gets a drop start, finger on the trigger, that’ll learn it!
  9. One of the last jobs I did before moving to France 2005, Woking in Surrey. Caught a monumental cold on this oak, 14’’ drain from a nearby block of flats shattered in the garden, turds and tampons spilling over the lawn. 5k insurance job. Still, got a pic with an 088 so worth it!
  10. Marvelous stuff, the TW, the Mazda? pick up, the spanner in spare wheel for the spout bolts… Is the pop still there?
  11. Another p100 in the background?
  12. Good, cannot think of one I’ve enjoyed looking at or climbing.
  13. Maccys are tricky rigging over lines I reckon, lots of uprights making it awkward.
  14. Hé may not check this, best email them like it says in the ad. Looks like a great opportunity.
  15. Loppin’ toppin’ and shapin’ a speshulty.
  16. A mate sent me this from the Golden jubilee parish mag 2002. Big wheels/tyres on a non turbo hilux made it a bit of a slug, but looked good.
  17. Fine, there seemed to be some confusion about what he was on about. Just thought I’d throw it out there for anyone who didn’t know.
  18. Crisp sandwich.
  19. Peds is talking about No Till farming, which, as they say, is a thing.
  20. And he’s off!
  21. Chris Mason is a really good journalist/presenter imo.
  22. According to Steve’s metrics I’m at least as smart as a 5 year old, so it’s all good.
  23. Well maybe more than ears. Question: Regarding your assertion that the amount of pages will not affect the price. Surely every page has to be ‘done’ meaning pictures and text pasted or whatever the term is? So a 5 page website will take more work than a 3 page one, so why wouldn’t it be more expensive? I know very little so I’m not arguing just curious how it works.
  24. Well I’m all ears anyway.
  25. The important thing is he gets the boot.
