    I think the trait of not announcing songs as much ‘this is…’ ‘that was…’ is because with digital it’s written on the screen so it’s a bit superfluous to keep saying it.

    Simon Mayo was a good show. I understood that the whole day on R2 was all white males up to a few years ago. That had to change. Sara Cox is very good IMO, funny, spontaneous and professional. Zoe B is unbearable for me. I guess it was Wrighty or Ken Bruce, KB does a lot of ‘Charridy’ stuff so is less vulnerable.

    Sad to hear this. I’ve listened to him since the eighties, I think he’s going to be a big loss. He manages to accompany you for a few hours every day without pissing you off, unlike Zoe Ball who is gushy, false and annoying. Sara Cox is good no doubt, but Scott Mills is borin’ as you like (no g) End of an era.

    Finishing off a job with a bit of grinding in the rain. Noble Fir I think, grinds easy anyway.

    Ha! Was the only bit of roping on the tree, so I told Dave just to go old school and take a wrap round the tree rather than break out the bollards etc. Not really a teeth loosener, but a bit of a ride nevertheless.

    Ha ha! I had one of those, good wagons no doubt. My new Ranger is 213hp, 10 speed auto, goes like stink and pulls a trailer and 2 tonne plus machine easy. Keep your old Mazda

    I’m sort of visualizing when I worked for a firm in south London in the mid 90s The gang I was with would eagerly pounce on this sort of thing when the boss wasn’t there to supplement their wages.

    I strongly suspect that Mr Rounds has built this up over a number of years. I think he sold August Hunicke his old crane, which probably paid for the down payment on some new stuff. We all know how it works. He uses the crane for construction as well according to his shirt, so not just tree work.

    Depends what he’s charging. 250k for one of those Merlos? You’ll never save that, or if you did you’d be 70 years old. Borrow the money, charge appropriately, pay it off or sell it later on.

    Well, not many, three or four over the course of my life. But I get real life and videos on the internet mixed up a lot. We had a Rough Collie and that was thick as shit.
