  1. Hello, I’m looking for a man truck and chipper to hire for future jobs in sevonoaks croydon biggin hill red hill Orpington and surrounding areas. please contact me through direct messages if you could help 👍🏼
  2. Thanks for all the feedback, think I’ll be going elsewhere 😅
  3. Like I’ve said I’m a newly start up company( after being in this industry for 8+ years) I’ve just had a website created, that I feel is to a high standard, and now I’m ready to start receiving traffic, the only way I can think of is advertising heavily to start some kind of job flow, I’m currently a team leader and would like to say I’m comfortable in quoting, customers and have a high standard of work. Now I think all I need is the customers to get this whole thing rolling. Advertising I feel is my best bet and I’m just exploring my options
  4. It does sound too good to be true for me I am/was thinking about doing this after a few months being up and running but I feel like it isn’t worth the while , , , it is stated that I will be one in the top five profiles for the 12 month period and that’s part of the reason it’s a 12 month contract, to stop companies outbidding my position. The big thing that is attracting is the 450+ traffic yell gets a month for the areas I’m working in , and if I’m 1-5 in the top (as long as I’m producing a high standard) sound like a good gamble. 50/50 at the moment
  5. It’s just on there website so if people search “tree surgeons “ in the areas that I cover I’ll come up on the top 5 in the list for the 12 month period, and yes it is a monthly cost. in 18 geographical areas near me, there was 470 searches last month.
  6. Had quite a long call with yell today and for £250 they are saying that could generate on average 30-50 calls a month taking that with a pinch of salt, even if it’s 20 I think that could be profitable as I’m just starting out and need as much traffic as possible. Has anyone used it, and what do you think of them ?
  7. Starting to do some weekend work and just seeing if there’s anyone on here who rents themselves and a truck and chipper out for a day , I’m based in westerham
  8. I’ve been pondering the idea of getting into training, I’d like to say I perform and a very high standard in climbing and have experience in training a few people out on worksites and do enjoy it , definitely when you can see improvement over time. I only have the basic qualifications, chainsaw maintenance to climbing in a tree with saw and harness. how would I go about becoming a trainer ??
  9. Need my kit lolered is there anyone close that can do this for me my postcode is tn16
  10. Just myself been doing a bit of researching and I think I’ll start as a sole trader, until I start making a bit of pennies. I have 25 k to get me up and running and 10k for backup Incase the chipper blows up in my face.
  11. So, I’m planning to start a company up late next year and I think I want to go Ltd, a friend who runs his company says to start out as a sole trader. what are your thoughts ???
  12. So two rope climbing now has been out for a while. I personally only climb with two ropes on big trees, 20 meters plus. my question is has anyone actually climbed with two ropes and cut through one or had one of there anchors fail ??
  13. Thanks for replying everyone I do have a figure in mind after the daily costs of running the company and the profit margin I want. just wanted to see if I was around the same ball point mark, but like Arbtalk there’s never any straight answers 😂
  14. Anyones welcome to share, my question is how much to charge a days for a days work with 2 men. Including truck , chipper , experienced climber, groundsman and a whole load of waste ??? In south east England would be ideal but also interested in all areas.
