  1. When are you seeing the GP?
  2. It fooled a lot of people, if that’s any consolation.
  3. He was not on the flight, he’s a comedian pretending he was on there.
  4. I don’t think so, the leaves don’t change, the plant starts putting out different leaves at some point. Maybe when it gets to a rooftop or somewhere it gets unfettered access to light. The smaller leaf type on that stem was underneath the mess, the larger leaf on top, if you see what I mean.
  5. I’ve been poking around and it seems that it is the same plant, but with different leaves. Here is a piece I pulled off a post with the two types clearly visible on the same stem.
  6. I’m not anti Brexit, I’m just pointing out that you creating an alternative universe where the majority of net contributors would leave given the chance is reality only in your head.
  7. You may well genuinely believe that, but I have heard no evidence of that here. Wishful thinking on your part.
  8. It’s strange how little we (the majority of tree workers) know about ivy idents. I hadn’t a clue until I started googling around about different sorts. That Irish ivy is a dusty pigeon shit filled nightmare, I suppose because the pigeons eat the berries and crap in the trees so the seeds germinate at the base. The English stuff is relatively dainty and easy to strip in comparison.
  9. Well they’re both ivy, Hedera Helix underneath and the other one is Hedera Hibernica or Irish Ivy. That’s just with a bit of googling mind, I could be wrong.
  10. This was 1985 by the way. He didn’t leave me out of the will.
  11. I approached the roundabout outside of Horsham and thought I’d do a Dukes of Hazard with the back end out, ended up losing control and stoving it into a lamp post.
  12. I sold it to the tow truck man in exchange for the tow back to my village, he took the engine out and put it in a Sunbeam Alpine or something. My Dad literally never forgave me, he had it for 7 years, looked after it like a beloved child, I took it for an afternoon and he never saw it again.
  13. My dad didn’t think so as he had just sold it to me and I hadn’t paid for it.
  14. My first car, which I wrote off in 4 hours, was a 1725 Hillman Hunter.
  15. Agreed, better visibility, better looking. More iconic.
  16. Nice models fetching 10k these days (xr3i)
  17. Carlton 2.2 CDI underrated car.
  18. I worked in a Vauxhall garage delivering new cars. Astra GTE was nice, not a patch on the XR3 though.
  19. RS2000s already silly money.
  20. So what cars that are 2 a penny now should you fill your barn with? for me. Ford Escort xr3 Early Impreza Turbos. 3500 Rover SD1s
  21. Is that localised? (Near major conurbations) or countrywide?
  22. It’s just that the French understand that you can’t just buy a property for 100k throw another 100k at it and expect it to be worth 500k like in the Home Counties. If you got your money back you’d be doing well.
  23. I know you have an issue with Devon’s infrastructure, and I have some sympathy with those who say ‘well bugger off then!’ I think the inaccessibility and the challenges of living in Devon and Cornwall is why they have retained their charm and they haven’t turned into Sussex or Hampshire.
  24. True, but the problem is that then it’s not worth investing in your property, so the stock deteriorates. We want to tarmac and kerb/edge our courtyard and entrance, we can afford it but will we get our money back? In which case why bother?
