  1. That should give a semi skip if I'm right? Still be faster than full comp chain. Thanks.
  2. The bars proving hard to find. After at least 20"
  3. Seen a bunch of people running the 3/8 and it seems just a sprocket and bar/chain is all that's needed. If there's a way to get a 562 case and dawwwwwgs that would be awesome. This saw doesn't get to much use so want to make it a monster with full wrap and skip chain.
  4. Rob those 3/8 058 chains fly, that 16" I got from you is an animal on my 372. Are you able to offer any advice on the 560 3/8 conversion??
  5. Rob d has it on chainsawbars.co.uk I believe it's listed under the 3/8 063 custom loops section.
  6. So is it possible to get a red Sugi in the right fitment say 20" 24"??
  7. How do they run on the 3/8? I'm aware of the 3/8 sprocket just struggling to find the bars. I know rob d has some but if I was to swap out probably want a 20 or 24 on the 560 with full skip
  8. Now bear with me on this 😜 I run full skip on my 372 and 3120 but it's not available for the 560 in 325" The other day I knocked a few teeth off a nearly new chain, can I remove every other tooth so it's balanced and create a skip chain? Or is it too late in the day for creativity?
  9. Turn the oiler up to max. Use either bio oil from Morris, super lube from listers and plain vegetable oil aswell.
  10. Foresters are awesome, look for clutch wear as it's about £300-400 job. Had a few Imprezas and one forester in the past. I actually bought back an Impreza I owned recently. A little bit juicy, great off road with some at tyres and pretty comfy. Only other fault I can think of is rear hatch leaks
  11. May be easier to switch to a 3/8 sprocket and get a bar that fits a 395. Only difference is the chain size between the two, same bar mount and oiler location.
  12. I have some of robs 3/8 058 skip and it's great stuff.
  13. Have some from Milner off road. Black and pretty heavy duty and not to expensive, just about to order a second set for the car
  14. Any advice on making the move from chestnut/chipwood to the good stuff??
  15. Thanks for that James it's got some good ideas in, will look into them in the week. I'm guessing a lot of the softwood hand cutting is up north
  16. I'm mainly stuck cutting chip and chestnut. Would love to get into some softwood but have no clue how to get into it down here in Kent.
  17. Depending on the timber anything from 80-120 ton per acre. Charge that if I am grounding for people as I do garden tree aswell and feel the works the same level of skill/hard work.
  18. I only manage to charge acreage rate of £1600-2000 cutting chip & chestnut. Very rarely get day rate but would be asking around £110 a day.
  19. Always take mine out of new saws. Very few places will ask that its fitted.
  20. Based in Ashford,Kent Hold 30,31,38,39 3 years in the woods and a year climbing. Full climbing kit, ground and climbing saws. Timberwolf 160 10x5 trailer Fully insured Have some spare days in January. Will 07933 996048
  21. I have made plates from greenwood the same as I make bowls. But you need large timber to split the stock out quartersawn
  22. Got it through lister wilder. Personally the service was terrible, nobody new when it was coming in, the pricing and availability or anything. Also they were offering to deliver it to my local branch today even though it was shut for xmas 😒
  23. Finally got it today after a 4hr round trip to reading. Was meant to be there Monday but hey it's with me know 😜 Going to get some use on it over xmas with some pine and birch.
