  1. Managed to get an m8 within 10miles of me second hand 😜 so with that luck I got it and now am awaiting chains and new bar for the 3120
  2. I have a 10x5. Yeah it's an ifor but any make will do. It doesn't tip but means I can load it with logs and milled timber, then if I need to chip into it just add some ply boards and chip away. Takes 10mins to shovel it out but I'm in no rush.
  3. I have seen they have rings and the safebloc but don't list much spliced up ready to go. Is that something special I have to ask for?
  4. I love the ideas of rings but am finding it hard to source them here in a variety of sizes.
  5. As a subbie I try to turn up early, work like stink and listen and learn from others. Have seen plenty of guys that smash stuff and then expect full money. If you break it you fix it, simples.
  6. Does anybody have anymore thoughts on these? Need something for running out posts, small amounts of siding and also to convert some nice lengths of timber. Trying to choose between farmers and M8 but the m8 is twice the price it can't see it being twice as good.
  7. 15" max on mine. Usually a 13" in coppice but always Sugi bars. The newer husky bars are a little stronger than old but can't beat a sugi
  8. Has the double side blades, 3 bolts and your into the flywheel and blades. Grease points are all in one place, my only complaint is it doesn't reverse well at all. Nice and light to unhitch and move around just really whippy on the truck
  9. I'd sign the road and leave any edge trees till last. Clear the coupe inside and behind them and then you can rope them back in.
  10. Space cab? Best of both worlds. Being able to lock tools in the cab is great but equally you loose space in the bed
  11. Stiles and bates in Dover should have what you need. Dave or his wife will be able to sort it and they ship aswell
  12. 372 will run a 24" that should tackle most daily stuff. Also it's a good weight to handle all day long.
  13. The newer 550 seem crap when they start. Mine feel like there's no comp when you pull them over with decomp in and out
  14. I had an idea for a ring of some kind trapped in the choked sling but not quite figured it out yet.
  15. Anybody figured a way to make a high clip like the 540 has? Use both but always forget it's not there on the 150
  16. One thing to watch for is drainage. If it needs to run towards the highway you will need a drain along the front into a soak away on your property. Still quite easy to install if you can operate a shovel and other hand tools
  17. Not to much work in a slab, right amount of base, rebar in the slab and away you go. A helpful site is pavingexpert.com
  18. Do the mod as stated above, have got 2 550s done and also a 560
  19. 540 all day for me, run 201s and there good saws just all the ones I have seen have broken plastics. My 540 runs a 14 and 16 occasionally.
  20. 13" all day in the woods. Easily take down a 20" tree with the right cuts. Run a 15" occasionally but after the 13" I find it a little slow
  21. I have arbpro red ones. They don't work with my spikes as there's not a definite heel.
