1. Not all bowls but lately I have been working on some plates aswell. Thanks Dan
2. Another option would be to make a router sled for levelling with. Big 50mm bit in the router and a few passes would be ready to sand.
3. Thanks for the replys folks. I got some gloves with pro in the back and a sharpening kit. Had a few hours playing and running the saw so happy with starting it. Now to learn the angles for sharpening as they will vary from my big crosscut handsaw.
4. Aha found the app so now I can share some pics.
5. There's some real nice work in here. I'd love to share some of my work but don't see how to upload photos from an ipad?
6. Finally got the cash sorted to do my 30/31 and it's only next week 😜👌 I can't wait, but does anybody have any advice on things to take or do? Got the following already so hope I'm all set. Boots Trouser Gloves and helmet Saw and fuel Felling bar, tongs and tape I think I got it all now to listen and learn then get to felling trees with a saw rather than axe.
7. Anyone else? Based on the isle of Sheppey but happy to travel 30-40 miles to jobs if the money's ok.
8. The easiest way would be an electric hand planer to rough them flat then a big belt sander. Another option would be to find a woodshop with a wide belt sander that they could run them through for you at a small cost.
9. A friend of mines cutting a patch of large chestnut right now in Ashford, he can arrange delivery if you need. Maybe worth a call to him. Darren santer 07825770260
10.
I'm currently on the isle of Sheppey but will be moving back to Ashford during the summer. I'm happy to travel around Kent for work though.

11. Looking for work, self employed been doing dragging and general work for a few different people. Doing my 30/31 tickets start of April and will have saw and clothing ASAP. Have transport and prepared to travel and camp if needed for work. Willing to work long days and as hard as I can.
12. I wear bib trousers when I'm in the workshop and quite like the extra front and also pockets. I do a lot of carving with things propped against my chest so the extra padding helps there. I'm being swayed by some arbortec right now.
13. Hi guys and girls, only just joined up here, I'm going to be doing my cs30/31 tickets so I can finally upgrade from brush monkey to a cutter and need some gear. I think I have my boots sorted just trousers. I'm looking at the husky bib and brace type A as I like that style of trouser and also the price is appealing. Has anybody used these and know what there like? I'm going to be heading to fr jones for most of my gear at some point. Thanks
