  1. I have a personal bandage on me in a pocket and a basic kit in the car but what stuff do you think should be added to make it a little more specific for tree work? I have heard of clotting agents and eye wash being handy?
  2. Use faggots if your able to make them or reeds
  3. A few plate and bowl sets from a few weeks ago
  4. I would cut that using my bandsaw to get the most with minimal waste.
  5. Generally available at short notice and happy to work single or multiple days.
  6. Recently got my 30/31, have saw and all ppe gear and self employed. Knowledge of wood from greenwoodwork background and also joinery experience and general landscaping. Been out with forest workers for past 6 months so have an understanding of the work involved. Looking to get cutting chestnut or softwood. Message me or call 07795483802 Thanks,Will
  7. Picked up a trailer this morning then home to the missus for lunch and a few naps, shopping tomorrow and diy on Monday. Great fun 😞
  8. Once tidied up they cut grass better than most new mowers.
  9. Finally got some new stock finished and oiled ready for new owners.
  10. Thanks, I considered a cutter but I'm tending towards spraying and cover it as the areas around 7x4m and I need to do it as quick and easily as possible. I. Thinking once the chip has been down a while the light not reaching the grass will sort it.
  11. Going to go straight over it with chip as I have access to plenty so it will be well topped up
  12. It's a little longer than that I'd say so will give it a little trim and a few days to refresh, then spray it over. Mix a little fairy in with the killer/water mix yeah?
  13. Thanks guys, maybe my spring eagerness to cut it can be saved for the back garden then 😜 don't want to work to hard at home.
  14. The watering can sounds a good idea, any ideas how long it will take to die off? I'm going to cut it down as short as possible before hand then hoping to spray it and get it covered up ASAP with chip
  15. Something that I can pick up a local diy shed I'm guessing then? Or do I need to get so etching stronger?
  16. Not tree related I know but figured some of you guys would have the knowledge. I currently use my front garden to park on and I now need to kill the grass and replace with chip, I know the best way is to dig it off but my back won't let me do that. I have read of using vinegar and sheeting it over with black plastic but I'm after something a little quicker if possible? Thanks
  17. Older vehicles are a lot easier to work on yourself. If your worried about rust take an evening class on welding and you will be set, easier to repair the mechanicals and hardly any electrics. I have just gone down to a 96 impreza, hardly anything electric other than fuel injection and easy to fix it all.
  18. Anybody chipping some wood near to isle of Sheppey or Ashford soon? I need some for my driveway at home and it would be an easy pull up and dump job for somebody if your about? I'd rather chip than bark as it lasts longer.
  19. I think a trip down there is in order then to try some of this chain oil.
  20. I didn't know about them until reading this. Only a 35 min drive from me and the chain oil must be worth a try.
  21. Got ours on using up the last of my logs and coal. Won't be long before a sweep and it's tidied for summer.
  22. Scott fraser down in lamberhurst run great courses and they do a wind blow ticket, they also have plenty of trees to go at.
  23. That describes me perfectly, well the skinny hard working type anyway.
  24. It's going to be coppice chestnut mainly, I have seen the softwood guys going at it and damn there fast.
  25. As some of these guys are advising estates I'll throw his in the mix. Older non turbo imoreza estates are available for between £500-1000 and there great. I'm on a second one after a write off, paid £500 for 84000 miler, gets nearly everywhere and would go better with mud tyres, plenty of back room for sleeping and racks for bikes on the back or roof. Easy to work on and parts are plentiful new or second hand.
