  1. Yes osmo every time for boards and tops. It's all natural ingredients as its a hardwax so a combination of oils and waxs.
  2. The osmo will cure very fast and give good water repellence and stain proofing. Mineral oils never fully cure but ikea and others sell them for tops and boards as people don't know the difference. Have used tung on all woods with no problem, one thing to think using tung and walnut is any nut allergies for end users? Very low chance of reaction but something to consider.
  3. I always work hard and aim for as much work as I can fit into a day. The craft work can earn me more In a day than Treework easily and don't have to be out in the rain.
  4. That's my aim to take that much this following year. I make some money through greenwood work and teaching crafts but I wish it was more.
  5. 5m pli and 10m eli with 7k tools
  6. Just got a new quote from trust Forestry and domestic trees, 25-30k a year, 7k took cover £900 but sounds a lot although the company sounds great. Haven't heard back from arborisk yet.
  7. If you use the following they will cure and not leave oily marks where they are placed Osmo top oil Walnut Tung Pure linseed If you use mineral oils or 'top' oils they do not cure and fail to protect the wood. I use osmo on all food items, two coats with 8hrs between gives great proofing.
  8. But handy when rolling in fires and grabbing trays out the oven.
  9. Better than nothin hey. 😜
  10. Tough hands make life easier.
  11. The Sugi bars are made from a harder steel than standard bars, they don't burr over and need dressing often, if at all so you save time on maintenance when running the saws all day everyday. They are also stiffer and lighter.
  12. Just grabbed a nice used set today. 4.5m twin so total height of about 7.5-8m And for only £25
  13. All depends what you want to do?? Chestnut fencing Hazel hurdles Bowls and spoons Chairs The list is endless
  14. 550 is a bunch lighter, will run an 18 just not as aggressive as the 560. My 550 is an everyday saw
  15. Yep. Based in kent
  16. It's 11.3 but seems to pull up fine on the zz
  17. I use this for both srt and with a zigzag drt Seems good with the zz but also just picked up a Marlow 11.8 to use with it.
  18. Have a few 550xps and they are awesome saws.
  19. I'm based in Kent and do a mix of my own work and work for others. If your after a chat give me a shout.
  20. Keen to know about one aswell, with maybe the +f part.
  21. Woods done and she's out at work again
  22. That's great. I did a quick mock up on photoshop but couldn't seem to make it work. Th doors as you say are a little small for much
  23. This is what it will be going on.
  24. I did wonder about simply having Tree care and woodcraft With no other clutter on the sides apart from website and phone number. Keep it simple as you say may be best.
  25. Cheer for that you have some good points. My business is probably a 60/40 split of Treework and craft so figured something on the truck would help promote it more?
