  1. The new style dad drives is better according to him but that's not to say the old one was bad as he only changed due to being involved in a motorway crash which wrote the old one off!
  2. It sounded like a scam to me. But maybe I'm just cynical!!!!
  3. It's better than the old one in nearly every way so he says. He tows a 14ft flatbed with it with no problems and also a very big 2 horse box that has space for driving carriage as well. And thats fine too he also got a big twin axle caravan that toes well. He likes it not brilliant on fuel towing but what is.
  4. I run mine in whatever the local garage has when I need some!! I run mine on 35:1 though not 50:1 Hedge cutter getting aspen from now on though
  5. Can you not put a bolt straight through it and put a nut on the back?
  6. That's an amazing story proves that the old simple stuff can be looked after and still be useful. How long would a modern Lorry last before becoming too expensive to repair with all the modern systems on board?
  7. I'm not sign written either does that make me a thief? Even pulling everyone now and then would not help as I probably could not find the receipt for everything I've collected up over the last ten years some stuff I bought when starting will not have receipts as the books are gone now from the first couple of years
  8. That makes more sense as it looked like buying and splitting for £9 £9 for bagging up is fine as you say 5 mins work. 😀😀 I thought you were working for nowt on them !!
  9. Not me but the way I read it is 149 to get the stuff in then split it in 2 and then sell for £158 it don't add up to me😂😂
  10. Is it worth it for £9 less expenses? How do you make any money at that.unless you are selling 200 a day plus delivery charge.I'd rather stay in bed
  11. https://www.gov.uk/late-commercial-payments-interest-debt-recovery/charging-interest-commercial-debt It seems if a different is written in its OK if reasonable. Otherwise b of e base plus 8% This applies to business to business. I'll try and find the rules on business to private individual
  12. I'll try and find it it was 3 or so years back. I was thinking of taking someone to court over £150 but could not be bothered with the hassle! I just warned all the other tradesmen I know to steer clear!
  13. That's a shame👎👎 Hope you get sorted on insurance as coppers aren't going to be chasing them are they👎👎
  14. Or some toothpicks😀😀
  15. Bad news any cameras nearby or on site?
  16. I don't think that's allowed I found some stuff on trading standards website I think it was. It's very weighted in the customers favour or it was when I looked into it some time ago
  17. My dads got the new style ranger on a 14 plate and he likes it better than the old one he had before and the Navara he had before that
  18. I'd be nervous about remapping as the engines have been designed within the tolerances of materials and mapped as such! I'm sure as well that they are conservative in the way they map them so as to not have problems? I would not do mine but then it's new and under warranty. I change mine every 3 years as they are leased and I don't want the hassle if they break down at least under warranty you should be ok.
  19. Just to say I got myself a bottle of the 2 stroke aspen and I will be using it from now on. At least with the hedge cutters. Also think I'm going to up my price a bit and use it for all 2 stroke kit from next year. I like not having that 2 stroke taste when hedge cutting!! So another convert:-)
  20. Yes hear what your saying about the computers!! At the end of the day it does not really matter though as I still have to use it so I've git to pay for it. You can't expect 2 tonne vehicles to be that good on fuel if you want to actually use them for work.
  21. First tank might not make a difference but from second tank I noticed the difference . Figures are from truck computer not old fashioned calculating though
  22. I maintain a pub garden and new manager started last week. I was about finished and he came out and asked for an invoice which I have him 5 mins later comes out with cash!! They have normally paid by cheque about a month after invoice! Could not believe it
  23. It has to be reasonable and 10% per day isn't. I looked into this when I had a problem 3 years back. I'm sure it was along the lines of Bank of England base rate plus 4%
  24. Careful with 10% per day I'm sure that's not even legal as its 3650% Apr
  25. I think you should wait it out a bit. Give them some time and as you say good things may come
