  1. I won't put cuttings in the back of mine. I used to put all sorts in my old truck but ruined the back door and back wings! Have 2 trailers now. I started out just like you only with a Mazda demio and a 30 year old camping trailer.
  2. I've got a push 17 inch Honda izy that's 6 years old and does 1 day a week on small gardens and has done for all 6 years. As near unbreakable as you can get for less than £400
  3. Try going to timpsons and seeing if they can make a new key. They can put the codes on.
  4. The main reason I don't have a top on the back of my pick up is because of mowers strimmers not fitting in the back if hard top on. Can see they are good for security but folding the handles on mowers does them no good IMO.
  5. I think you can use a chainsaw legally without tickets at least I hope so😀
  6. As above my first attempt at pruning a tree into some kind of nice shape(maybe).
  7. 15degrees in Lincoln today. Don't sell logs but fed up as the grass won't stop growing and I want some time off work!
  8. I was at a print shop last week organising some new work clothes and they were putting a display in the window of cloth bags that they are starting to sell. To have them printed with logo etc. So it may be starting to happen already.
  9. I think it's sad too but you get caught up in life. Running a business taking and fetching kids from school the list goes on....... If I went to butchers bakers etc etc it would take 3 hours instead of one. In that 2 hours I can earn the money to pay for a good part of the shopping or just spend that time st home with the kids that are growing up too fast! I often feel like I'm chasing for the sake of it as I don't know any other way to live anymore.
  10. I'm not sure people are over looking smaller shops because of the 5p bag charge going to charity. I think people use the big shops for the convenience of getting all the stuff in one place. People are working longer and longer hours to stay afloat that time is tight.
  11. Sorry to hear this again!! It seems like every day at the moment! Bar stewards. Hope your insured. Hope you get sorted soon as well
  12. Yeah I heard that too. A few small shops round here are charging though I don't know if proceeds going to charity. I think not though !!
  13. For once I agree with most of what you have written. People don't like £25 an hour for hedge cutting but will happily pay £100 for a four hour cut
  14. The handles fold on the izy. Have you got a hard top on the pick up?
  15. I'd go for a Honda izy if you want a 4 wheel mower. You can pick up a 21 inch for that money. I don't like Vikings any more after all the gearbox trouble I had with the pro model I paid a fortune for!! Never again👎👎👎
  16. I'm confused too is that £15 each an hour ? Just be confident in your charges and put them up. Also try not to charge by the hour charge by the job. You will be surprised what people will pay.
  17. Love discovery channel always find something to watch on there
  18. Have you got a jtf near you as there got some in for around that money at the minute. I'd buy one but I've already got one
  19. I've got to ask how did it fall out the back of the truck? I sometimes worry if the back of mine is full of stuff if something will bounce out!
  20. You should also be careful posting about it if not claiming as they always ask if you have had ANY claimable problems. I happened to mention reversing into a gate post and paying to have it fixed myself. And they then added it to my policy as a no claim claim or some such rubbish. Was not very happy!!
  21. That's impressive 😀😀👏👏
  22. Be wary that will be a horrible job!! By that I mean there will be an unbelievable amount to get chipped up!! I can't see it as 1 man 1 day myself not with winters short days as well. Getting them down will be quick enough it's chipping that's the problem
