  1. All that’s lovely and true no doubt. I wonder how many trees it saves though? Some people will decide that they want THEIR tree topping if that option were took off the table how many will get removed instead? No doubt if they ring the right person they may be pushed in the right direction but they may not ring the right person and even if they do they might still want it topped no matter what is said to them. On my very basic understanding of it unless it has a tpo or in a conservation area there is nothing to stop this happening?
  2. I wouldn’t know about that I cut grass for a living! I’m sure you are right but it’s not the point. You can’t change what others do or charge so do your own thing and leave them to it
  3. I’m presuming the tree is smaller than when they started?.....
  4. I think it must be “free” wood to him. I don’t see how you could buy some chop it up store it then deliver it for those prices
  5. Just seen this advert. Seems cheap to me or am I missing something?
  6. Where is red at 38 p at the minute? I bought some last week at 47p for 2000 litres
  7. The EU is different as it’s no longer what those who voted for economic ties voted for. And it’s not a federal superstate which is what they seem to be aiming for.IMO. scotland as a whole obviously thought they were better off in the uk not out. who knows how the result would have turned out if it was uk wide?
  8. Yes because we are a United Kingdom. We all should have been given the vote.
  9. That jet fit looks like mine. It’s the pro 4 line one with the black cone removed. With just 2 lines on it. 4 line would be too much for a 90. Not to say don’t buy one as it will last ages so would fit another bigger strimmer should you ever get one Don’t go lower than 3mm on the jet fit otherwise you will be changing all the time. Plus leave a decent tail like on the pictures above. It’s a proper pain if you forget and have to try and get it out!
  10. The 90 will struggle to run 4mm last me I would think. I ran some 4mm on an 85 and it was rubbish. Maybe try some stihl square line at 3mm you can get that to fit the head too
  11. Speak to stihl uk. They know about this and changed a motor and other bits out of warranty for someone I know due to this problem. (Well it sounds like the same problem!)
  12. Try knights at Langworth, they have some big kit not sure if they go that big but worth a call
  13. Ignoring the fact that the health service would grind to a halt due to a lack of uk doctors!
  14. Would be light but I think you would smash it in no time though could be wrong!
  15. Loopy if you ask me. Well parts of it. If he wants to re nationalise fine but pay the market rate or it's stealing! As far as high pay goes that's non of his business providing companies pay staff properly (though I can't answer what properly is?) The unions part is bad too (unless you want to be stood outside around a brazier instead of working!)
  16. Take the whole blade/gearbox assembly off and you will likely find the issue. Worst case would be snapped crankshaft I would think. More likely the keyway on the inside that connects the crank to the gearbox has broken
  17. They do cut quite nicely in fairness to them, however the vibes are shocking and I don't want to get carpal tunnel for the sake of spending twice the money on something decent.
  18. If it is a 45 the best place for it is the bin! Horrible little machine!
  19. Number 2 is spot on. 1 yes can mean recurring work weekly for years! I only advertise now as I want more work for my big mowers and 2 acre plus gardens are not easy to get. Word of mouth is best though as clients already know what kind of money it will cost them (for what I do which is grass cutting and hedges!) as they have obviously talked to other clients and know from that roughly what costs will be, so I'm not wasting my time going to places that want stuff done cheap!
  20. Have you knocked a wire loose? They are m tronic if I remember rightly?
  21. I've got the stihl extending long reach battery hedge cutter. Cost was about the same as a petrol but this is longer. Yes batteries are expensive but it's yet to run out on me (ap300) but at about 180 mins that's a lot of high reach cutting so lasts all day.
  22. Ouch! Made a mess of that! Heal quick
  23. Just a guess but I imagine you weren't particularly welcome over there were you?
  24. What exactly are the right wing parties going to do about terrorism (aside from trying to close the borders which won't work!)
  25. I've had an email saying new login from windows and chrome. Never log on like that. So checked history on the link in email and it seems I've been logging from all over the country in the last days/weeks when I've been at home all the time working!! Any ideas? Thanks in advance Richard
