  1. Speak to stihl uk. They know about this and changed a motor and other bits out of warranty for someone I know due to this problem. (Well it sounds like the same problem!)
  2. Try knights at Langworth, they have some big kit not sure if they go that big but worth a call
  3. Ignoring the fact that the health service would grind to a halt due to a lack of uk doctors!
  4. Would be light but I think you would smash it in no time though could be wrong!
  5. Loopy if you ask me. Well parts of it. If he wants to re nationalise fine but pay the market rate or it's stealing! As far as high pay goes that's non of his business providing companies pay staff properly (though I can't answer what properly is?) The unions part is bad too (unless you want to be stood outside around a brazier instead of working!)
  6. Take the whole blade/gearbox assembly off and you will likely find the issue. Worst case would be snapped crankshaft I would think. More likely the keyway on the inside that connects the crank to the gearbox has broken
  7. They do cut quite nicely in fairness to them, however the vibes are shocking and I don't want to get carpal tunnel for the sake of spending twice the money on something decent.
  8. If it is a 45 the best place for it is the bin! Horrible little machine!
  9. Number 2 is spot on. 1 yes can mean recurring work weekly for years! I only advertise now as I want more work for my big mowers and 2 acre plus gardens are not easy to get. Word of mouth is best though as clients already know what kind of money it will cost them (for what I do which is grass cutting and hedges!) as they have obviously talked to other clients and know from that roughly what costs will be, so I'm not wasting my time going to places that want stuff done cheap!
  10. Have you knocked a wire loose? They are m tronic if I remember rightly?
  11. I've got the stihl extending long reach battery hedge cutter. Cost was about the same as a petrol but this is longer. Yes batteries are expensive but it's yet to run out on me (ap300) but at about 180 mins that's a lot of high reach cutting so lasts all day.
  12. Ouch! Made a mess of that! Heal quick
  13. Just a guess but I imagine you weren't particularly welcome over there were you?
  14. What exactly are the right wing parties going to do about terrorism (aside from trying to close the borders which won't work!)
  15. I've had an email saying new login from windows and chrome. Never log on like that. So checked history on the link in email and it seems I've been logging from all over the country in the last days/weeks when I've been at home all the time working!! Any ideas? Thanks in advance Richard
  16. I use these tyres expensive but don't puncture unless it's something big http://www.redstoneuk.com/26x120012_Redwing_Turf_24_RX_Aramid_6PR--product--962.html
  17. I had a go with the new stihl battery hedge cutter the other day. It leaves a lovely finish. It was the hsa 94t. Nice and light and quiet too. Thinking about getting one to go with the hsa 86 long reach I've not long bought
  18. Being concerned about immigration is not the same as being a downright racist imo. i think the borders might tighter controls I just disagree that all other races of people are out to kill us and that our way of life is best. there are plenty of white British morons about.
  19. Well put. I do wonder if matelot is suffering from ptsd? From serving in our armed forces in some of these middles eastern countries? Not defending him at all because I agree with you but it would make some kind of sense? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  20. Look at this and tell me the driver was scared! You really are in denial! http://theresurgent.com/these-photos-speak-a-thousand-words/ the video is frightening
  21. It's the top that's going to be the issue then. they will have to pay for some kind of access equipment if they want it looking good won't they!
  22. Thanks for that I'll see if that works!
  23. So you think it's acceptable the behaviour by these loonies yesterday?
  24. How do you make the threads remember the last post you have read like before please? i click on a thread now and it takes me to the first post on it! Thanks in advance
  25. I've just bought the stihl battery Hla 85 which extends to 3.4m I think. I would imagine it would just about reach with a decent ladder. but would be hard work as it's heavy at full extension. how did it get cut last time?
