  1. Do they make the body bounce more when empty stubby? Thanks Richard
  2. I can’t remember exactly as I got rid of my l200 2 years ago but I do remember that the springs did squash down under not much weight. They also didn’t go too far when full either. Fairly normal I suspect. Can you post a picture?
  3. I was talking about the 700 not the 500. The 450 doesn’t look a bad machine to be fair but for a bit more than your £450 you can get the 700. Or at least get the 450 cheaper https://www.frjonesandson.co.uk/products/stihl-br-700-magnum-blower-64-8cc-4-mix/ https://www.frjonesandson.co.uk/products/stihl-br-450-c-ef-backpack-blower-63-3cc-electric-start/ You can get the blowers posted from some places
  4. Spend the extra £54 and get the br700. It’s a beast. No electric start though!
  5. Thinking on it caught a mouse last week (at least I think it was) only just caught the edge of it so no massive splatter just a dead mouse thankfully
  6. Stihl fs360 and up are good. The 410 and 460 are good all round machines
  7. Do all these immigrants need a whole house each?......
  8. I think you sum it up nicely. Work hard get good at something invest your time and money and it will pay off. It won’t be easy or quick to get there. Newly qualified teachers only get £11ph Admittedly with lots of holidays. But proves to me that a starting wage in this kind of work at 8.25 is not too bad as you can get “qualified” in weeks not years
  9. What ever way you voted should not really matter. If we don’t leave we might as well not have voted at all. we never got asked about a hard or soft brexit. I thought out meant out when I voted! out completely from all of it and start again like a divorce. on that subject why are we not getting a financial settlement from them?
  10. It does make me wonder why they are bothering to go this week after Donald Tusk has said there will be no breakthrough this week. Seems like a massive waste of time.
  11. We agree on something never thought I’d say that[emoji23][emoji23] TM needs to grow a pair and walk away this week until the EU get a grip and realise that it would be bad all round for no deal!
  12. It does make you wonder though. How can they dare try and charge you while at the same time paying nearly as little as is legal? You see this with the grass cutting for councils. Paying people £7.50 an hour to drive a £65k mower and then complain when the crash/ overheat and generally wreck it!
  13. Well that’s something I suppose! You are probably going to walk away! You can’t have that hanging over you
  14. So if you bought genuine ones and they snapped of and decided to fly around a bit before stopping and wrecked the machine would that be covered?
  15. I was told not long ago on here that trees shouldn’t be topped
  16. A few hours ago it was the worlds leading brand now it’s just the leading brand. People don’t like having the wool pulled over their eyes. Good quality non genuine replacement blades is all it needs to be.
  17. True. I should also add that I’ve got no problem using non genuine parts certainly for things that are not life dependent. What bothers me is outlandish claims made on these things such as “the worlds leading supplier”. ive not looked at them or prices of genuine or non genuine chipper blades. But at a guess they are cheaper than original ones? If they are the worlds leading brand I’d expect to pay more for the better quality. people will pay more for decent stuff
  18. I seem to remember being told that about cylinders and bottom blades for the mowers it was utter c***
  19. If you’ve got kids You don’t feel like that , well I don’t anyway! anyway cheap tyres cost more in the end imo
  20. Some would throw cheap tyres on a car which is scary in itself. I would say it false economy to buy cheap blades. I don’t know how much of a pain they are to change but I would think the less often it has to be done the better. I know for my mowers that genuine ransomes cylinders and blades are about 20% more than copy’s but last a third longer.....
  21. I would have thought sending staff home until this blows past was a good idea myself. No point getting killed clearing crap up while it’s still going on. All these trees will still be on the floor tomorrow and if not the day after
  22. The wind has arrived here now and the sun has gone almost back to normal
