  1. Matelot can’t see that. Trumps his hero:)
  2. It’s not about what the senate voted for. If it was a good idea it would have been moved at the time. It’s (for me anyway) a bloody stupid idea to be pouring petrol on a smouldering fire.
  3. You make that sound like a good thing! Has the last 30 years proved that getting involved with any of the regimes over doesn’t turn out well?
  4. He’s gone too far this time I think. This is the last thing the world needs at the moment with North Korea on a suicide mission at the minute.
  5. I quite like the idea of putting a bit into something that’s not took off yet as a punt. Or even put a bit into a few of the “newer” ones and see what happens. I think that bitcoin has made its big gains (at least in the short term) but it may be worth a go at getting in at the bottom of one of the others? Who knows
  6. As others have said put money you can afford to lose in, or in your case you got given some which is good. as a long term thing I can’t see it but that’s me. The thefts that have happened are real and cost a lot of people a lot of money. That’s a simple fact.if the banks and governments got behind it and introduced some insurance type scheme then all the better. I’m all for these new things as eventually something that works well will happen because of it, it’s just not for me
  7. That all means f all if the exchange where they are kept gets hacked and they are stolen from there!
  8. The problem for me is that they claim is not hack able yet 2 minutes search proves otherwise. It might not be possible to hack the actual system of creating them (though not sure I believe that either) but it is very possible to steal the completed bit coins from the exchanges. That puts me off completely!
  9. Until they change the protocol and allow more to be made! It’s numbers in computers nothing is impossible in that sense. There will be more or something else as these huge server farms that mine them will need to be used for something. Too much money invested for it to just stop. That’s just my opinion though
  10. I’d agree it’s all about timing! The tories came in with no money left to pick up the pieces (again!) and cop the blame for cutting spending to try and balance the books! And before someone shouts about the tories being rubbish I agree with that too! But I’ll take them over corbyn and his cronies!
  11. Get a grip! That’s like saying labour left the uk finances in a good state and the tories are making spending cuts for the fun of it!
  12. Proving that the EU is only as good as it’s member states. And it seems it’s losing one of its best
  13. If Europe is so great as a whole why are people camping out in awful conditions in Calais to try and get to the uk?If it was so great they would be happy to be in the first place that is European?
  14. When was Europe last great out of interest?
  15. We haven’t paid anything yet! And won’t until we leave and then as someone else said it will be spread over a period of time. I agree we should be paying what was agreed for the budget that runs to 2020. Minus what we should be receiving in the period between leaving and the end of budget. How it adds up to 45 billion is beyond me as we pay a net £8.Something billion a year so they seem to be offering 5 years, which imo is fine if we get a decent trade deal if not it’s stupid
  16. I’m against trees being chopped down for no reason. But how could the council put its own surveyors on it and still call it a PFI. If they wanted total control they could take it back in house and it makes me wonder why they don’t as they would have total control of what trees were cut and how much it would cost. The only reason I can see that it’s not done in house is cost. So it must be cheaper to have a business run it, unless I’m miles out in my assumptions
  17. Has anyone actually seen the contracts that have been signed?
  18. Why is that the job of the contractor? It must have been put out to tender so somebody at the council signed off on this long before contract was agreed. Talk about shifting the blame. I bet they wished they had never seen the tender!
  19. Surely the contractor is simply trying to fulfil the contract? The blame should be with the contract itself shouldn’t it?
  20. True they shouldn’t but then the residents shouldn’t be trying to stop people doing their jobs. (Standing in drop zone) That’s putting aside the rights and wrongs of doing it which I can’t understand unless the trees are about to fall over and kill someone.
  21. Of course there was no project fear from the remain campaign! Pro remainers are as bad if not worse than the leave side as you call anyone who voted out xenophobic racist stupid and all the other terms I’ve heard. There probably is some of that but the pro eu side are just as bad in other ways
  22. I lived there for 3 years the human rights probably aren’t great but I do think that if you behave yourself and don’t bother anyone else you will be fine, but that’s from an outsiders viewpoint. A native has problems if they don’t keep their mouth shut or commits crime, the second of which I’ve no problem about and we should take a lead out of their book. The first along with other things is no good and can be quite shocking to “us westerners”
  23. Thanks I’ll try and find it
  24. Faster now not that it was very slow before
  25. That will have radio for the 800m Range and the Bluetooth will work to about 10m I would imagine. Which ones are they out of interest as they could be useful to me.
