  1. Get a grip! That’s like saying labour left the uk finances in a good state and the tories are making spending cuts for the fun of it!
  2. Proving that the EU is only as good as it’s member states. And it seems it’s losing one of its best
  3. If Europe is so great as a whole why are people camping out in awful conditions in Calais to try and get to the uk?If it was so great they would be happy to be in the first place that is European?
  4. When was Europe last great out of interest?
  5. We haven’t paid anything yet! And won’t until we leave and then as someone else said it will be spread over a period of time. I agree we should be paying what was agreed for the budget that runs to 2020. Minus what we should be receiving in the period between leaving and the end of budget. How it adds up to 45 billion is beyond me as we pay a net £8.Something billion a year so they seem to be offering 5 years, which imo is fine if we get a decent trade deal if not it’s stupid
  6. I’m against trees being chopped down for no reason. But how could the council put its own surveyors on it and still call it a PFI. If they wanted total control they could take it back in house and it makes me wonder why they don’t as they would have total control of what trees were cut and how much it would cost. The only reason I can see that it’s not done in house is cost. So it must be cheaper to have a business run it, unless I’m miles out in my assumptions
  7. Has anyone actually seen the contracts that have been signed?
  8. Why is that the job of the contractor? It must have been put out to tender so somebody at the council signed off on this long before contract was agreed. Talk about shifting the blame. I bet they wished they had never seen the tender!
  9. Surely the contractor is simply trying to fulfil the contract? The blame should be with the contract itself shouldn’t it?
  10. True they shouldn’t but then the residents shouldn’t be trying to stop people doing their jobs. (Standing in drop zone) That’s putting aside the rights and wrongs of doing it which I can’t understand unless the trees are about to fall over and kill someone.
  11. Of course there was no project fear from the remain campaign! Pro remainers are as bad if not worse than the leave side as you call anyone who voted out xenophobic racist stupid and all the other terms I’ve heard. There probably is some of that but the pro eu side are just as bad in other ways
  12. I lived there for 3 years the human rights probably aren’t great but I do think that if you behave yourself and don’t bother anyone else you will be fine, but that’s from an outsiders viewpoint. A native has problems if they don’t keep their mouth shut or commits crime, the second of which I’ve no problem about and we should take a lead out of their book. The first along with other things is no good and can be quite shocking to “us westerners”
  13. Thanks I’ll try and find it
  14. Faster now not that it was very slow before
  15. That will have radio for the 800m Range and the Bluetooth will work to about 10m I would imagine. Which ones are they out of interest as they could be useful to me.
  16. No uk government has ever managed to get its “ducks in a row” so it can’t be that
  17. I think batteries will get more efficient. Saving the oil I agree as well as it’s used for far more than fuel. HS2 is daft in my eyes I can’t see how getting to and from all the places it’s going 15-20 mins quicker is worth all the bother and expense of building it but that’s just me as I live nowhere near it and will never use it. I think many towns and cities would be better served improving links around them and to the main rail lines we already have. Or down the south west they could do with better roads and east anglia the same all the way up the coast to hull and beyond.
  18. I think you would want something radio based rather than Bluetooth based to give you decent range. Don’t know about sena headsets though
  19. I like land rovers they are great when they are working:)
  20. 4 reasons spring to mind. 1 the oil won’t be cheap enough forever 2 governments will make the tax too high to be able to drive using petrol anymore. 3 environmentalists will win the argument in the end and get all the emissions at power stations instead of coming out the back of vehicles! 4 the above mean they need to change to stay in business
  21. I think the likes of Nissan want something that works. Graphene or something else they won’t care as long as it makes the cars sell!
  22. That does prove a couple of things one you may have opened your eyes a bit. And 2 his graphene battery (if it was?) wasn’t very good. However graphene is made from carbon (look that up!) and there is plenty of that so I’m wondering how much I believe the guy on your video. Do you really think the likes of Nissan are going to pump hundreds of millions into something that won’t work? A few million spent to see if it works I understand but that big an investment needs to have proved itself to them first!
  23. What conifer is it? I’ve never dared take anything like that much off the sides of fear of sending it brown! Good job though. How long does it take all together?
  24. O think the other thing to remember is that li ion batteries are a 1970s concept that has been tinkered with for getting on for 50 years. It needs new thinking which is what is happening. In another 50 years there will probably be something better than these new types being brought to market now
  25. I’ll try again. Do some research these new ideas don’t have the same issues as they are a completely different way of looking at the problem
