  1. The main reason I thought about terrorism is that I turned the news on this morning to see a burning tower in London. Unfortunately in these times we live in that was the first thought. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  2. It does make you wonder about terrorism. Does not look good at all, Horrible thing and best wishes to all involved. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  3. https://i.imgflip.com/rukzh.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  4. Apparently not labour thinks they have won and so do the snp. May is acting like she's lost after winning the most seats. All very odd[emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  5. How is taking half (or more) of one persons money and nothing from others fair? The top 10% pay more tax than the rest combined. Where is the incentive to do well for yourself and your family if you have corybn come knocking (or any party for that matter) when you've worked hard and made a successful life for you and your family? I do think some of his ideas are good in principle in reality who pays for it? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  6. Next you will be saying we should put something in people's food to stop them having children. Oh wait ....... Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  7. I don't recall voting for a hard, soft or par boiled brexit. I was under the impression that leave meant leave and stay meant stay! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  8. No don't bother just sack him and the government can pay it all. You save 350 he gets his 400 everyone's happy except your clients who get nowt done. So you think I know I'll push my wage bill too high and pay him the £400 myself and 3 months later you're both at the job centre as you've gone bankrupt but that's ok as it felt good while it lasted. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  9. I think we will have to agree to disagree on this! I left loads of jobs when I was younger to get better wages. People should try and control their own future not wait for ANY government to do it for them. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  10. No why? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  11. When has life ever been fair? When will you understand that everyone can't be earning £1000 a week and even if they were inflation would soon put the value down again. Do you think that people on benefits should, smoke, drink have mobile phones and sky paid for by us? Or maybe we should pay everyone loads until the business goes bankrupt and then no one has a job Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  12. It seems you've missed mine too! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  13. I think you are wrong on that one. If university students are hoping for minimum wage they should not be there in the first place. If you mean "living" wage for the non graduates/students then maybe but I do wonder how many of those bothered to vote? People being willing to work is a funny thing as I've worked various trades over the years and people seem to want to be paid loads for doing a mediocre job in lots of cases. The good ones move on and do make a good living at whatever they choose to do. How many jobs will be cut if minimum wage went up to £10 an hour next week as some staff simply aren't productive enough. Genuine question as I do think it's a problem Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  14. I'd not really thought of it in those terms to be honest and you are right. For me the bigger point is we did not need to be in this mess at all. If she had left it alone brexit could have been pushed through parliament regardless. Who thinks we will get a better deal now that we are in this situation rather than last weeks situation? Not that I ever thought or think it will be a very good outcome. This just plays into the EUs hands Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  15. No idea on the teams for the negotiations but I think it would be a good idea to have some proven diplomats along with some proven business people doing it. Where you will find that mix in government is another question! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  16. No idea really! Just like May and the rest when they put the manifesto together. The "dementia tax" winter fuel payments being stopped etc really were a stupid idea as they are things that don't matter to the very rich. The middle ground and old people would have been hit by it hard. the people they aim to get votes from normally. That along with corybn promising students everything they want for nothing has put us where we are now. To add to that I think if labour had not proposed this land value tax thing he might have gone and won Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  17. No they should not join with the DUP. I think we all know that's not the right way to go. As for both loosing not really as labour got less than the conservatives. I don't think May will last long though Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  18. Didn't miliband resign when he lost the last election for labour? Why is corybn not doing the same? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  19. Jeremy corybn is Robin Hood it seems that people forget he was a thief! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  20. Why does Mrs kranky think may should resign for loosing 20(?) seats yet she lost about a third of hers but that's still a win? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  21. Mind you if the poll is right it might shut Mrs kranky up!🤣🤣 Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  22. They did but would they get together again? That's if lib dems get enough to get over the line. With brexit there is too much on the line for fighting too much in parliament as well Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  23. Hung parliament is the worst outcome we could have I reckon. Corybn would almost be better than a parliament that can't do anything! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  24. Yes it's a vote for the least bad option! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  25. This is why the figures are difficult to use properly as you can twist them to say what you want! They may well have spent more of GDP but the economy was knackered when they came to power so they have had less income to play with. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
