  3. Nesting season so maybe not that stupid? Mins you I would of thought they would want people's money whatever month it is! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  4. Subbies should be invoicing at the rate they charge not what a business decides it wants to pay them. I think it's to help those that can't budget properly therefore not taking Holidays as they have not saved any of the extra they have been paid to cover it Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  5. I did not miss your point and morally you are right! However it's not allowed as any holiday pay has to be paid when/after the holiday is taken. https://www.gov.uk/holiday-entitlement-rights/holiday-pay-the-basics Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  6. I think that's called "rolled up" pay to include the things you mention and it's illegal! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  7. It's about using the right size for the machine though isn't it? My 53cc Kawasaki would destroy 2mm line but the small stihl won't run any bigger. The others use different again. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  8. Where do you get this diamond stuff from please? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  9. Does it need to be a ride on? Why not a scag type mower Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  10. My dad has a stiga out front mulcher and thinks it's great. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  11. All this is probably true. Look at it this way if half the food we eat is imported half is produced here feeding the masses yes? Without this food produced here people would starve and die and in turn produce nothing for the economy in whatever they do. So could it not be argued that agriculture actually gives us half our GDP? Utter rubbish I know but just a thought Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  12. I use the hv46 but some older stuff uses the hydro 32 Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  13. Griffin survivor got my iPhone in one and dropped it 5-6 times no damage. My sons school use them on the iPads for 7-11 year olds too. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  14. Oops did not read the op very well. I've got one too and the cord can be awkward. Good for thick grass though. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  15. Have you thought about a DR wheeled strimmer? Or similar 4 stroke mowers engine on them. They use the really thick line easily too. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  16. Try the local dealers you won't have to go 125 mile to find something:) Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  17. If your doing 20 hours a week with it don't you need to up the budget for a pro machine? An etesia or iseki or kubota for example. 20 hours a week is going to be hard work for a £2.5k mower. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  18. I think you would like North Korea [emoji1188] A nicely closed country where you can be sure there won't be much immigration [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  19. This answers part of why you hate everyone so much! So your take is because your family got kicked out of India everyone who isn't British should be kicked out of the uk? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

    Work

Problem round here seems to be money! They want to have less cuts but still pay the same rate per cut. I'm not doing that as it just makes a mess meaning too much time tidying up behind the mower. Plus more wear and tear on machines for no good reason Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  21. Maybe that's what you should be doing as the boss? The "easy" job and running the job too. Both together isn't the easy route. Still it's not fair. I don't sub to others but if I cocked someone else's machine up I'd be gutted and be there till the end trying to get it going/ offering to pay for bits damaged. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

Parishes seem to be struggling this year around here. I've got 3 this year, but the others just were not viable this time. This is grass cutting by the way Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  23. Apologies[emoji27]. Did I assume wrong about the fish and chips on board ship though just out of interest?[emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
