  1. No problem it was a reference to what they feed the troops[emoji16] not exactly blending in as claimed though is it? And I maybe even read his post wrong sorry[emoji22] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  2. Whilst having fish and chips on Fridays and a Sunday roast on a Sunday? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  3. Another fact is china is a dirty great hole in 99% of the country. The people in general live in squalor. I know I lived there. Which make the high iq not as revealing as you think! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  4. Trump got elected because of sexual assaults in the UK Germany and Sweden? Are you sure about that? I doubt it! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  5. That is working well for leaflets. Maybe I'm just grumpy as I chuck All leaflets in the recycle bin! If you are clearing £3k a month after expenses wages etc in 2 years your doing well imo To clarify my advertising expenses or lack of them. I do grass cutting and hedge cutting. I have all the clients I need now so any new one get priced higher and I either make time or drop the cheapest client. In your business I think you need a far larger client base to keep busy. 6. Think of it another way. You can get people to pay "flatyre enterprises" instead of mr flatyre. If you see what I mean people do seem to like it as it makes you look more professional. Mine costs £7.50 a month. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  7. If those 15000 are going to the same places each month your wasting your money. People will get pissed off with seeing the same thing every month. Maybe try and cut that down and speak to google about Adwords. That can work if you get it set up properly. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  8. What will be will be! Mowers are all ready to go so just waiting on the grass doing the same! I'd like another month really because it makes an awfully long season if it starts now! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  9. There's your answer! Have you tried scaling that back to see if it actually makes any difference? My advertising spend is £25 a year web hosting. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  10. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk On this basis I think winter is done here!
  11. Your running a dam sight more than a van and chipper though aren't you? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  12. What kind of money is your insurance? I'm struggling to see why it's costing so much then again I've no idea how much a month a chipper costs £250? Is all your gear new on finance? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  13. Here too the last 3 years though I stopped for 5 weeks this winter Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  14. 2 weeks or more into it now. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  15. I think it's crazy! Are you sure you've added it up right? £25k a year to run a van and chipper? Insurance etc as well but it seems to high Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  16. He means stop worrying about it it fine as mick said Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  17. I've read it and that's fine but you stomp on anyone who disagrees with petty insults Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  18. That does not work now though does it? (At least I don't think it does). And you did advocate deceiving the bank as they say in the small print that you can't run it as a business account(4 banks I know of do this as I/we have personal accounts with them!) Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  19. No it's the voice of someone who does not want a bank account shut down on them with all the problems that can bring! Just because you never got caught does not mean others won't. If you think that paying for a business account will stop you being wealthy you are deluded Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  20. It doesn't matter at all! Just keeping stuff separate and using a business account will make life easier if they do come looking at your accounts. Also you really should not be using a personal account for business as it's not allowed by the banks (look in the terms of personal accounts those of you who are advocating doing it!) besides that if you can't afford a few quid a month to pay for it you are doing something wrong. 21. Why not a 48inch or so scag type mower. Depends too on what finish you need Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  22. You better let the prison service know so they can stop educating inmates! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  23. That does shed a different light on it. I don't think anyone is saying your a bad person and possibly too far in the other direction as far as clients go! I used to do the same but after 8 years it got to the stage of charge more and do less. I did lose a lot of clients but it did not matter as the higher rates from having less but better paying clients made up the difference and allowed for more investment which again allowed higher prices (well similar price but much faster) due to efficiency! I also want to be able to pass on to my lads if they want in the future. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  24. It's decent money but if the competition is charging twice that to make it pay (higher overheads etc) why not push it up a bit you will still get the work probably but not be undercutting as much making others seem like they are overcharging when they probably aren't. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  25. That all may be true but all you are doing is starting a race to the bottom. And making life more difficult for the people who do need to charge the higher figure. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
