    L200

Mine was a hardy old bugger the usual head gasket went at 130k. Which is around 10,000 miles later than usual, I can oh say as i found mine 5 years, had to replace the steering box, got reconditioned one off eBay for £200, Fuel wise she could be thirsty, and dour when pulling but she was good off road didn't need 4wd that much, maybe the tyres I had on. A bit basic to drive, but to be fair she wasn't too bad . It was an 05 plate
  2. No he's just used to working with us north of border, we are much nicer and tolerant.
  3. I've Cooper at ordered for my isuzu can't get the stt in my size however wish now I had seen those hankooks real-time the looks f them
  4. Well, for that money the hilux option will be an older one, but that won't matter, Personally just changed my 05 l200, have to say was good off road, fuel consumption no too bad, was a for work model, quite basic , but I can't complain really hardy vehicle, cylinder head gasket went common at 120-130k, Currently have a isuzu rodeos good reviews on them and happy with mine the chances are you will get an 03-04 for that money, worth remembering those age news were timing belts, I think.
  5. I took it as a given, that the strainers would be in, Bottom line on yes top line not strictly necessary as this can hamper lifting rock over the top lines,
  6. I personally would chap the posts first, there is the risk of ripping the rylock, with either a bump in ground or slight lapse in concentration, it's easily done, I would just roll out and lift over 200 mtrs isn'tnt a big run ,is it straight or does it turn, Also the posts should be on the livestock side, as mentioned before why do they need to be on inside?
  7. I've always thought the bfg were overrated, I've Cooper stt on my motor very happy with them. Folk see the white writing on the bfg and think they must be special certainly everyone round my way finds they are overpriced when there are better value tyres around.
  8. You do all know that Morrison have they own abattoirs, and are probably one of the more farmer friendly supermarkets.
  9. Hi chief, I've just bought an 08 , plate one just waiting for delivery, anyway I've heard good things about the rodeos, fuel consumption is pretty good and from the 07 plates onward they have cam chains not belts, I used to drive ranger when with commission, th at was a while ago and the rangers were quite thirsty, though I would think spares would be cheaper for the Ford.
  10. Yes goaty and that was a major factor in the decision.
  11. Expensive day yesterday, bought the rodeos, turns out they are cam chains, The on way home bought a canopy and 8x5 trailer too, Just need to sell my current motor,
  12. Surely this is basic business practice?
  13. ive a simple mantra, Prompt payers recieve prompt attention, i always make sure my customers are aware of that policy if they want me back so far has worked great.
  14. sorry for me 4trak was king, why the hell did daihatsu stop making them everyone i knoew who had one would have another i miss mine
  15. can anyone confirm that the denver rodeo 3.)m diesel engine has a timing chain rather than belt thanks?
  16. I'm in the market for another pick up, now first choice would be a hold, but i like the style of the rodeos Denver's, Any review I read seems to be good, especially on fuel consumption, I'm looking at around 08/09 plates about 70k, So anyone have experience of these good and bad.
  17. Can anyone suggest any good pick up dealers around the northeast or Tayside areas of scotland, If you can pm me thanks.
  18. I'm looking to buy a pick up too I'm not keen on navara, after the problems of conrods through the sides of the engines, Apparently not very nice!
  19. As a fencer , I would say their is a bit of merit in both . 100 meters is fine to strain from one end hard stapling, and tieing off, wire pulls better if it's straight look ng runs I would pull up to 200 mars from one end if straight run. I usually for any longer runs pull from middle to equal.the torque, If working gripples then tie them off, ht wire shouldn't need 're- tensioned ms may do, but if it is for otters then there won t be the same pressure as livestock, Just beware anyone can call themselves a fenced, their is no national accreditation for agri equine fencing, it's experience and quality of work that gains me work.
  20. I've had the op just took about a week off, in and out same day, under local anaesthetic, the doctor said it was the toughest one they had ever had, scissors weren't fit to cut it, I didn't piss about taking weeks off, and with fencing there is no light duties, solved the problem though
  21. Can anyone confirm if the Oregon jet cutting head fits directly onto the lid trimmer, I haven't taken mine out of box yet.
  22. UK covers, I bought a set over 15 years ago still not a hole in them ,
  23. Did you get arrested for dogging?
  24. I just put a chicken pen up for a customer who has quite a bit of tree work to do, one to fell, will require dis mantle, and several need limbs removed, If you send me a pm and will.provide contact details.
