  1. I work cundy, they are what I call rough rounds, Now I'm willing to guarantee they are pine or spruce, the almost certainly won't be larch Ive no issues with them I tell the customer who they are and leave them to decide if the want to go ahead. What diameter my supplier does 2-3.5 inch , or 3-4 inch ones around 40p difference in cost.
  2. 1) March certainly better than pine try and get European March. 2)yes but it depends how much time to leave them soaking. 3) remember with clipex yes u can only use clipex net, look into stapleok the same idea but you can use conventional rylock, Hampton fencing sell it and I thought it was decent price.
  3. Working for FC, I saw Sitka, lodge pole, and Scots, pine go for fencing materials, all different timber mostly rubbish, but all was sold at same price , some folk can't tell the difference.
  4. The timber is rubbish and the supplier will.look for any excuse to get out of being responsible, James Jones rep told me there timber had the 15 yr lifespan, But if you cut a notch for stay then it doesn't count, if you make a hole with staple then they won't stand good, Any excuse that 15 year is total fallacy.
  5. Well anyone that puts in posts by hand when there is a chapper to hand is a bloody idiot or sadist, My preference of course is the chapper, but if I do.have to do by hand I favour the slave over the maul. Why you would chap posts after you've stapled beats me , chief
  6. Now Bob, Que an advert for clipex!
  7. I can't believe that you find maul easier to work than the hand thumper, You posts far straighter than with maul, Also maul splits head of posts, though apparently Mr storrs thinks we are peely wally ibn Scotland we don't have hard ground, Well Mr storrs if you find yourself up this way ill take you to some "boys ground" see how you get on chief.
  8. I would far rather use the manual post driver ahead of the maul, I pinch holes, then pour water down , then knock in if I'm doing by hand, that soaking holes, makes a big difference, then string the top wire and use the maul to chap in the higher ones, I hire my chapper too, and I always have stuff out ready, if strainers are already there then it's pinch post holes and place them in, I agree if you have everything organised you can chap a lot in a day, I once did 30 strainers, and 600 posts on an October day once started chapping at 9 done for 5.30.
  9. The biggest problem is that there is no accreditation for stock fencing anyone can call themselves a fencer, there is absolutely no proof required, which considering the price of materials, and the expected life span of a fence, is a damned joke.
  10. I can get 12ft gates c/w hooks for around £70, if that £170 Inc strainers then maybe acceptable, but for me still dear. £24, for a strainer, is it mahogany or oak, timber is more expensive up here, and I'm taking £17 per strainer. You do the arithmetic!
  11. The second goal made in Aberdeen
  12. YI had an 05, plate the head gasket went last October, a week after sailing through its mot! She was a good sound body wise, had the obligatory steering g box replacement, reconditioned one off eBay, Was heavy on fuel I managed to get to 130k before head gasket went, usually between 110- 120k. That age of l200s, were said to be the best ones, Id chance it I got mine at 85k, miles.

If YOU knew anything about hooliganism. You would know that in 1980, t her was trouble involving the two old firm sides that led to alcohol being g banned in side grounds. Idont doubt that many innocent individuals of any nation were caught up , which is a disgrace but why is it always the Nigel, fans then are they really that blameless, I have no prejudice I don't care who beats England.

Your Welsh, don't worry about singing. Usually the vocal arrangement, involves shouting g swear words, offensive songs to the hosts and opponents, whilst beckoning with your hands for a square go. A new addition from the nigels, this year is to invite isis to attack whilst in an area with a large Muslim presence,

It usually consists of speaking with an English accent, Throwing white plastic chairs. Throwing bottles, Upsetting the locals, Then blaming others for provoking you. Hope that helps to take part in the frivolities.

It will be the Slovakia mob, a highly organised group who have been planning the attack for months that will be next, What's the chances of the nigels, being drawn to play the three sides that have a hooligan problem. I await the sheer carnage the Welsh, will cause with their hard-core mob, we all know the terror they inflict

I'm sorry, it just so happens that it's pure coincidence that its always english fans it happens to. Have you asked yourself why ? Every tournament it's always English fans that are victims of unprovoked attacks.
  21. Bob, you don't half try to punt that clipex stuff, Guy up my way had it but has taken it all down and used many different expletives to describe it. I won't be going, someone said to me all you do is take all day to spend money, and speak to people you know, that you could speak to at home for nothing, I've been twice, once never made it t be bus got impounded by the constabulary, and second time what there, my best Friend ran over my dog. So I can take a hint.

I saw some people on tv last night using the old " brits abroad" term, Yet no one pulled them up, probably because everyone else was English.

Hey now, in all these incidents England fans are provoked, now it's just coincidence that its always their followers provoked, It is so unlucky that not one other nation seems to be as disliked as them, Mmmmmmm strange that one.
  24. That's fine, my point is too many gardeners, buy a set of wire stretchers and immediately become fencers, without knowledge of animal behaviour I was brought up on farm ,and work at livestock marts for 20 years, and have livestock handling certificate, Yet many gardeners who do fencing have none of the above. Yet still charge handsomely.
  25. That wouldn't cover materials with me.
