  1. I have a stihl petrol borer for boring gate hooks, I am going to buy a 5 inch ground auger kit, Has anyone used them are they easy to use, Can they handle hard ground, I am thinking that such an attachment will be useful for a horse school I've to construct in a wee while.
  2. Ok folks been looking at options and looking at comparing the following three Echo CS 450 with 45 cm bar, read good things about echo on this forums, and they offer two year guarantee. Makita EA 4300F45 C , Stihl, MS 251C-BE I have an account with a merchant who deals with all three manufacturers and I get good discounts from them so, what would the best value for money be for those three
  3. Would a Makita be a good choice I cannot justify the price of a stihl 362 for all the use I'd have for it im looking to spend no more than 400
  4. Just had a thought would a Makita be a more cost effective choice I see the list price for the stihl 362, for me is very high for the amount of work I will have for it im looking to spend no more than £400, I've heard the makitas are good saws
  5. 455 correct, apologies
  6. I am getting cheeses off with my husky the bar was pure rubbish requiring to be filed after every use, The on off switch on that models are far to easy to turn off accidentally, Just don't like the saw and I prefer stihls personally. I will be selling the rancher so hopefully I'll recoup around £300
  7. Try englebert strauss lots of styles to choose from.
  8. I currently have a Husqvarna 544 rancher, saw with 18 inch bar, I am looking to change the saw to an equivalent Stihl model, The saw will be used mainly for pointing strainers and cutting beech for firewood, So I ask you the experts for what model to buy to replace it. A merchant who I spent over 25 grand, with in the last year will have special deals at a local agricultural show next weekend.
  9. I am looking at realistically around 03- 05 for price wise, I am not sure about the Honda diesels, are they as reliable as the petrol engines, As I said the higher miles wouldn't bother me does anyone know if it's better to steer clear of the petrol freelanders?
  10. I am looking at getting a freelander or a Honda crv, I've been told that as long as the freelander is a td 4, the one with the bmw e fine they are pretty reliable, also I like the crv, I am happy to go for one with highish miles as I know Honda have never had a reported engine failure, are the diesel ones as good as the petrol ones, any advice greatly appreciated,
  11. Oh no I can't even escape man utd fans here! Mind you it's nice to get a result that finally has nothing to do with England!
  12. I have a florabest stringent from lidl, excellent running machine however whilst strimming with blade on I hit a gate post and broke the section of drive shaft that goes from engine to half way along the shaft, I cannot find the receipt to invoke the three year guarantee so does anyone know where I can source a suitable drive shaft I like the strimmer and would love to get it going again.
  13. Absolutely shocking 15%buyers premium plus VAT, so 35% on the hammer price it's time action was taken about buyers premium, it should be illegal
  14. Why bother no one asks for it when buying or applying it.
  15. I recommend heras fencing easily put up a can be removed if required I just built on this weekend, I used 80 and 50 cm rylock on top of each other with rabbit net clipped on with overlap, at this time of year it takes next to no time to grass in.
