I have a customer I recently put up an electric fence for and when it rains the trip switch in he house goes, Any ideas what could be causing this , and how would be the way to diagnose it. I have one gateway where I ran a plain wire under, through an alkathene pipe instead of lead out as I ran out of lead out I'm wondering if water is gathering in this pipe causing a short. The unit is the only other problem I can think of.

Are you Scottish chief or are you a Nigel who now lives here, I'm sorry you view Scotland as such a hole if you dislike the country that much feel free to depart, I love my country I think it's just as good as any other country in the world, and if it's a crime to want to see Scotland shape its own future then guilty as charged. You always put this country down never accept any criticism of the union . I happen to think the rest of the UK should be independent too.

You all know my political leanings and to say I'm a happy man is an understatement.make no mistake the snp are going to go down and take Cameron up on his challenge to us.to lead the nation. I am fencer and without being cheeky, you should have already done some for free or cheap rate to gain experience, there is so much to factor in, ground conditions, terrain, what type of animal's, are they wild, are they cow's and calves, or store cattle, will there be sheep, Then there's the materials, post spacing, spec of wire, are you running ain lines along .with your stock net, where will the pressure points be, next to gates, water troughs, sheltered areas, a lot to take I to account but only experience and trial and error will teach you, My early work isn't a patch on my latest work and it also.most embarrasses me but we all have to learn
