  1. The Vermeer's usually have a slot cut into the guard for the clutch arm to locate into! The arm needs to be able to float don't anchor it solid as this will prevent the clutch from working correctly!
  2. Hmmm! I was referring to offered advise ' contact your local dealer' as meaning pretty much everyone knows they can contact there local dealer an there for a pointless post! I was not in anyway suggesting local dealers should be pushed to one side . As being a said local dealer I would of been shooting me self in both feet!
  3. TIG welding stainless steel has to be one of the cleanest job ever done! No sparks, no fumes ( of any amount), and you don't need to even paint it afterwards !! Nice but mig's still more convenient!
  4. The clutch has a brake built into it when disengaged brake applies to prevent idle drag! What can happen is 1. Clutch not inline correctly and the belt tension is twisting the clutch slightly causing excessive drag 2. Bearing failure and locking up causing continual drive 3. Clutch engagement/disengagement has failed causing the same fault 4. Electrical fault and the live 12v feed is not being turned off but unlikely Clutches are available non genuine (pm me)
  5. Make sure it's a farm model not a construction model!! They look the same!! Construction models are not designed to be driven on the road any distance ( suffer from transmission wind up!)
  6. Now what is the phrase used I keep hearing ?.. O YEH! Contact your local dealer Well that's as much help as ... Heal pry bars are a good tool for this job! Angle grinders are also a good tool with caution (minor scaring won't do any harm just polish it up with emery tape before fitting the new bearing)

  9. It would of been better if he hadn't of picked the logs up carried them at table height and then put them down on the lift arm!??? Also if you had of put a log on that lift arm which would of been to heavy to lift the splitter would of tipped over side wards Doh! Them guys need to get out of the factory more lol
  10. Check the wiring under the hopper and going to the stop bar switch 150 and 190 have plugs in the wiring ( can't remember if yours has as well !) The wires sometimes get half pulled out and cause an intermittent fault, also the stop control bar switch get a fair bit of stick from the weather and road spray and once that water gets in its down hill for the switch!!

You need some of these!! 5 LED - 975 Lumens 8 LED - 1600 Lumens 10-30volts 3 watts per LED Magnetic mounted - allows you to easily move them around as needed ! 12v leisure battery - made to withstand constant discharge & recharge Trickle charge solar panel charge for each battery This are pretty good for there size eg 10ft high good light for about 15 square

  13. Complex/Lithium based grease (EP2) Just a little bit more than general grease but loads better!! But general grease is better than no grease!!!
  14. You can get the whole assembly c/w wheel ! The price varies depending on track unit used which changes depending on suppliers prices to the manufacture so not always easy to match up, but usually around £250-300 per wheel. Sometimes bearing failure is mistaken for wear in the slide channel of the track unit !!

  19. There would be a few H&S issues there!! Rubber Hyd pipes inside a operators inclosed working area!! They would red to be covered or sleeved 😐 Then you wouldn't be able to see we're the oil is coming from!!!
  20. GM trailer even though it locks on and tilts on a jack not unlike a jockey wheel is a little bit on the high price! A roller trailer is bitter value.
  21. Most garden lawnmower handle are locked up using 8mm bolts pushed into a plastic knob!! Pop in to most garden mower suppliers and they should have them in stock or PM me
  22. They maybe set in production but the mere fact it has a adjustable collar and shims would be implying there is adjustment!
