  1. Depends on the operator(s) Regular blade turning/sharpening What wood type is being chipped Is it clean wood (dirt/mud free) Every chipper is slightly different as every operator does it differently !
  2. Rubber cheques are evidence the client has excepted your invoice by issuing the cheque! Court action can be issued (small claims court) on the unhonoured cheque and no dispute can be made over the invoice or the job! Your can get court costs and interest And even a attachment to earnings
  3. Interesting! Blade gap should be ideally 2mm But no one mentioned the most important thing when adjusting blade gaps.. Always do it with a New anvil and blades!!! Even if you take them off afterwards Adjust it with worn blades results in a non standard setting, which also has the hazard of future blade changes result in anvil contact!! The anvil on this machine has some degree of wear but still has a little life left, the blades look like they a due a resharpen, feed rollers look like they've been working for a living! I think the blade/anvil gap is looking a little big, big contribution to performance problems helped by dull blades
  4. End of year! Large payments hard to collect!!! Pop down the local super market! Buy a dozen cheap bottles of wine! Give them slow customers a call! "Hi just calling to let you know we are offering a free bottles of wine for customers who clear there outstanding account/invoices before Christmas " The limited chance of something free makes people part with money like nothing else...
  5. These kind of starting problems can be very frustrating and some what patience testing! But the simple things should be checked first before pull everything apart... If it runs for 5 minutes then dies and herd to restart its not likely to be half of the things listed above!. Even with the differences between a small engine when cold and hot there are two many reasons 1 fuel 2 electrical If it runs for 5 mins or more dies and hard to restart sound more likely to be coil or plug to me If however if it's cutting out after 2 minutes running from cold then fuel is more likely. But that's my opinion and everyone has a different one and a different way of doing things!..
  6. Well you could always have them made up as 1/2" and get some 1/2" to 3/8" adaptors and then you have both options covered!!
  7. Sorry Timberwolf use a resin sealed control box !! They are also machine specific to the serial number !!! Which has the stress control preset to match the machine! I have converted some green coloured chippers to the same system as Jensen to enable the users to be able adjust the stress control and also later down the road should they require they can use our reconditioned exchange service (or have your own unit reconditioned)
  8. As well as reconditioned stress control units!!!
  9. Sending a statement which you can clearly state overdue is sometime a little more less offensive than resending the same invoice with the latter on it! You can even add interest rates ect at the bottom for late payment A statement will come across more efficient and professional than the same invoice with added red text! And thus (in some cases but of course not all) look more realistic that further action will likely follow and payment now would be more beneficial for the customers point of view ..
  10. I've seen this beauty once hot and running, burning freshly cut logs ! That fresh the water runs out when splitting!! One 2' x 19" log split in 4 lasted 3-4 hours !!! And the heat it gave off 😅
  11. The 190 has threaded bar which the bottom of the spring is attached these are often rusted up pretty well !! And the anvil is non reversible! Unlike the 150 But I would still say the problem is more likely feed roller related!!
  12. The springs aren't very strong when new and so unlikely to be a great deal of difference after changing !! Feed roller condition would more likely be a a noticeable difference and also the sliding action of the top feed roller!! Not forgetting the old anvil ! Commonly over looked ( better the chipping better the feed!)
  13. It's a bit like ya guitar ! When times are busy it sits gathering dust and then spontaneous it gets dusted off and strummed back to life leaving you thinking why have you left it this long!!
  14. Well let's all join in lol Mine is a K.Yairis YF-20 (New Yorker) doesn't look much for a £800 guitar but it's the way it sounds which matter ... It's a bit like Jensen chippers. One man starts & finishes the build without any additional help so each guitar is individual the same person then signs the label inside
  15. You could always climb aboard and ride it up the tree ! Lol
  16. Hi Timber chipped nearer the centre of the flywheel is easier on the chipper firstly there is a mechanical leverage advantage chipping nearer the centre and also a weight/momentum - so what you described is correct! I will PM you some other adjustments you can make to the stress control
  17. The driving standards required to obtain a LGV licence are some what harder than your average tractor requirements!! Having driven them since the age of ten fixed them sold them and seen many on the road towing 10 ton plus with the wrong size dropping pin in the draw bar, trailer brakes not working or not even connected up! Tractors with that much free play in the steering you can turn it half a turn before the wheels move! Next time you see one coming the other way just think if that trac rod end which was only half an hour ago traveling down some rough track with 12" pot holes and now traveling 30 mph plus to adds you broke would the drive be able to stop before ploughing head on into you!! With the half ton of weights sticking out in front of him and 8-10 of tractor behind plus the 10,15 or 20 ton on the back for a extra little push!!! You can all look at them tractors tomorrow coming the other way a little different!! The old drive would go for the ditch one way or the other Would the younger drive ? Or would he panic hit the brakes cause he was going as fast as he could already and squash you!!!
  18. Not on this one, which was know before fitment which was reflected on the purchase price! We did supply a large discount on the Kohler replacement to soften the pain a bit !!
  19. It stopped ping ponging and started dogging!! Resulting in it becoming totally f::::ked!!! In more than one place!!
  20. Before and after the the Win Sum fitment! Looked good just a shame it didn't last!!...
  21. We removed a retired 20hp Kohler and fitted as requested a Win Sum 22hp Diesel engine to a Vermeer SC222 for a customer....12 months later it was back to have a Kohler 25 HP fitted!! Need I say more..
