  1. Would say from a personal experience that springers are easier than a cocker spaniel to train but I've been doing it a while, as others have said little and often and don't let the dog slip and get away with anything from day one as they are far too intelligent and will make things harder for you wen it come to formal training at say 16 month old. I always make a point of drumming in the steadiness and keep the dog guessing and using its brain. If you repeat the same thing to often the dog will catch on and anticipate ur next move rather than waiting for the appropriate command, without sounding big headed my dogs have come from field trial champ parents and are themselves champs in competition and prove themselves every shoot day I take them on
  2. Wouldn't bother with the ce lanyard ....over priced!!! just get whatever length piece of rope you want as a lanyard, couple of karabiners piece of friction cord and a micro pulley to make your own, will be less than half the price
  3. you can get full skip square ground off rob d on chainsaw bars only has it in .404/.063 though, not an easy chain to hand file though, think it would take a lot of practice
  4. Have to agree completely.....best thing I ever bought and when accompanied with the art spiderjack and a thin tightly woven rope like tachyon or Samson velocity it makes climbing a pleasure, self tends slack like a dream, go spend your hard earned !!!
  5. After a lot of searching I gave up and started looking for a new starter motor for the jcb 3cx and lo and behold what pops up but an ignition key for a 3cx which strangely is identical to the key for the Jensen other than it has jcb stamped on the plastic. Hmmmm

  14. Its a 2010 and has 700 hours seemed reasonable to me when I did the math works out a 175 a year, not sure if any of you chaps would think that's high but seemed ok to me
