  1. The blue complex grease is for extreme pressure applications eg pivot pins of a loader or digger subject to very high shock loading Hence it carry's a higher cost If only being used for general and bearing use - use the red and save some money! Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!
  2. I would recommend using a K2EP long life complex grease normally See below! K2EP Lithium Complex Grease K2EP is a premium quality multi-purpose lithium complex grease for lubricating all anti-friction and plain bearings for use in industrial and automotive applications. This highly adhesive grease has shown exceptional performance providing extended lubrication intervals, even under arduous conditions and over wide operation temperature range. Features • Exceptional mechanical stability extends relubrication intervals. • Excellent oxidation stability provides lasting lubrication at high temperatures. • Excellent EP and anti-wear performance. • Good corrosion resistance protects components operating in wet conditions. Applications K2EP has been developed for use in wheel and other bearings and as a multipurpose grease for cars, vans, trucks, buses, coaches and construction plant such as bulldozers, scrapers, loading shovels and dump trucks where it will give outstanding performance. It is also recommended for use in industrial equipment operating at high temperatures. As with all greases used for the first time, check compatibility with the grease applied previously and if necessary purge bearings prior to application. Likewise, as a general rule, take care not to over-lubricate and apply the quantity of grease recommended by the bearing manufacturer. Operation temperature range -20ºC to +150ºC Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!
  3. Yeh I know they both make a 6" chipper It's the future models which are meant to be different But that only going on what I've been told so it maybe all a load of bullocks!! Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!
  4. I am a Redwood Jensen/Forst service dealer! So I understand it Jensen would not Produce any in between models to there range so hence the Forst was born! Therefore as Jensen don't make any chippers in the same range, there is no direct competition ... Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!
  5. Redwood - Jensen importers Redwood - Forst manufacturer Redwood/Forst same people!! Ask Redwood for the contact number of your nearest service dealer ! They should be able to sort any warranty issues out quicker!! Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!
  6. A non starting engine! First thing to do is go back to the basic things! Suck Squeeze Bang Fuel/Air - Compression - Bang 1st. Have you got enough compression ? 2nd. Have you got fuel being injected into the cylinders ? 3rd. What colour smoke have you got coming out the exhaust. ? Diesel can only reach the oil via 4 places 1. Mechanical fuel lift pump 2. The inline fuel injection pump 3. Past the piston rings 4. Past the head gasket How much diesel is reaching the oil ( how much has the dipstick level gone up?) Have you done a compression test? Is the engine turning over fast enough? Have you tried starting it with the fuel stop solenoid removed (does it have 2 wires or 3?) Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!

  8. Interesting comments !! The Forst is a British designed, British built chipper ! So that's two things the Jensen hasn't got ! The top feed roller is much like Schliesing Belt tension via a flat pulley on the inside pulling out like Greenmech/Timberwolf Chute like Jensen Stress control with green/red buttons was on the Jensen first! Bank grease point Schliesing It goes on.... It is meant to be the best bit of all of them, it's called design research !! The Forst was developed to fill in the size gaps that Jensen wouldn't make There is always room for improvement but at least with the Forst there's someone there that will listen!.. The sales figures will tell which is best Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!
  9. Pretty good mower watch out for lack of greasing on the forward/rev pedal shaft! There's a grease nipple underneath which many miss to grease this the wears the hole elongated and it will fail to neutralise properly and creep forward or backwards The drive down to the wheels is via heavy duty chains which allow a large open bottomed grass chute into the box so unlikely to block Build quality is in line with Kubota Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!
  10. 15w/40 can also be used as an alternative !! Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!
  11. All Kubota Diesel engines working at UK seasonal temperatures should be 10w/30 CJ-4 Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!
  12. Even if you had a blanked end on a return hose the tractors relief valve would open before damage should occur unless your running a pressure beyond system but this is usually on used on fore end loaders were the hoses supplying the valve block remain connected all the time! Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!
  13. We have a different system here it's not a tractor which has free flow return ( which means a route back to tank quick and unrestricted as possible) many new tractors have a connect point for this fitted or commonly fitted via the filling cap This is about a power pak A manufactured power pack is going to have a relief valve fitted either in the pump, in the control valve of a remote relief valve between the pump and the control valve. Sometimes some bright spark in a bid to increase the hydraulic pressure out put wind the adjustable relief valve to far and this then stalls the engine as you can't compress a liquid if it's no where to go something got to give in this case the engine stalled It maybe the case that the relief valve was Tee'd in to the return going via the oil cooler which has been removed along with the oil cooler!! Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!
  14. Breezblock GX120‎0.15 +/- 0.02mm ( 0.006 ...‎ Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!
  15. LOL!! Did you stay at any one long enough! I did my C&Gs and was working on plant and ag machinery when you were still at school.. You may have worked for.. Well many dealers but with this vast knowledge operating a timber grab with a manufactures high flow output pump You wouldn't be able to control the rotation to achieve a rapid cycle We aren't taking about other garb applications here only timber grabs Having experience of operating an artic fitted with a palfinger crane I think that qualifies as I also know what I'am taking about! Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!
  16. What are you on about returning oil via the other port??? Unless your referring to the relief valve return port??? And there's no such thing as zero back pressure as the force pushing the oil flow back to the reservoir is the back pressure and any resistance on route increase the back pressure !! Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!
  17. The hour clock is there to tell you how many hours work it's done! So if it's done enough hours to require the oil change then it's done enough hours for the other remain service item to be done!!! If your car is due a service every 10000 miles does the garage only change the oil? If a DIYer services his own car at 10000 miles does he just change the oil because it only takes 10 minutes and it doesn't matter about the rest ( that's why cars with service history hold there value longer!) Changing the oil and filter is better than nothing being done but like a car there is a safety factor to think about and safety devices and other moving conponets which need equal maintenance as regular oil changes ! Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!
  18. Relief valves are also plumbed into the return circuit! So may of been removed along with the cooler!!! Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!
  19. Breezeblock Have you actually done any amount of work with a timber grab eg loading and unloading? Manufactured timber cranes have pedal control variable speed You need it to be quick when swinging in mid air and slow and controllable at pick up and drop!! We are talking here the best way to convert a mini digger to result in the best controllable and cost effective way Variable speed of the rotary motor is vital to fast productive use! There's doing it so it works and there's doing it the most effective way! Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!
  20. Could you post a picture of the power pak? Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!
  21. C top valve sounds like extra cost for a relatively simple job after all he's not making scramble egg! Turning control is more important than the open and closing? Button control will only result in inch control and there for lack the variable speed element which will assist quicker timber alinement on pick up and drop Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!
  22. Bearcat should of been called swearcat disappointing machine in my opinion! The Greenmech 100 is good until blades go dull then it's a bit more of a manual feed than gravity feed For a chipper for long term use/ownership look for one which has feed rollers which tend to be 4" chippers and upwards Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!
  23. Dam there I was thinking I was going to be a bright spark! Lol Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!
  24. Try C F Machinery Farmi Chipper Dealer 01490 412146 Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!
  25. It maybe better the other way round! The bucket tip/crowd control will give more control turning than a button control solenoid valve ! Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!
