Hi all I have a problem with my stihl 261 and it has been awful since I brought it in 2013 I have had everything go on it when I spoke to stihl at the Arb show they said they know there was problems with some 261s they sold at that time and agreed to fix it for me free of charge which I thought was great now they have said they want the original receipt which I can't find so I am now stuck whether to just cut my losses with the saw as have spent a small fortune on it already or to keep on at stihl till they give in as anybody else had a similar experience with there 261

Changed the ram and I have fabricated a new rear for the machine which has weights built in to it so it weighs the back end down for lifting and underneath extra steel to strengthen machine up once it's all finished I will post some pics as it's still work in progress I like the Kanga machines any machine is better than no machine u soon find many uses for it just wished it lifted a bit higher that's all really
  8. That looks great exactly what I am after I run a kanga kid due to its narrowness lifts about 350kg but have modified our machine with bigger lift arms weights etc so ours lifts about half a ton easy I will give riko a call cheers for the responses

Hi need a bit of help or advice I would love one of the Vermeer loaders with the log grab fitted to it but I currently run a kanga due to narrow access work I am after a log grab for it but kanga are saying they can get me one but it will be very heavy does anyone know or own one that would suit the machine or be able to point me in the right direction of a better grab thanks in advance tom
  10. The iveco 6.5ton tipper with steel body and toolbox weighed 3.3 tons on our local weigh bridge now weighs 3.6 ton with tools and aluminium chip body can carry 2.9ton legally ours is a single cab

  13. we run a 6.5ton iveco tipper and a defender 110 tipper the Landrover is the most expensive to run and keep repairing but would be lost with out they are great but probably not as your main truck I would buy a 3.5ton tipper of some sort or tipper body on your toyota
  14. We bag it as offcut scraps u would be surprised how many we sell when delivering logs and use it at home to start our log burner waste not want not lol
  15. Hi what width would this machine be as it looks very impressive but a lot of us guys struggle with width getting it into tight access thanks tom
