  1. Hi, Do you know who the supplier was at that price? Sounds very competitive! Cheers, Simon
  2. I have around 10 ton of mainly Ash but also a small amount of Beech cordwood which is to large for my firewood processor. Most of this is around 60cm-80cm in diameter. Access very good, 5 mins from M25 J10. Location: Ripley, Surrey Price: Negotiable Simon - 07857414561
  3. Domestic stuff has died off now... However have just got a contract to supply Hampton Court Palaces Tudor Kitchens 6m3 every week until end of October.
  4. Hi Guys, Hope all is well and sales are booming now the snow is here... Just a quick one... Im used to buying in my cord by the ton and know what my margins are on that. New supplier sells cord by the m3... I find this hard to understand as how do we agree of size of load? Just wondered if you guys knew roughly how many m3 I would be looking at once split. Also what you reccon on price... seems dear to me... Heres the ad... Ta "Seasoned Birch / Oak Cordwood for sale at roadside. Felled as thinnings in the winter of 2013/14. One year seasoned near Esher, Surrey. Lovely straight poles, up to a diameter of 12 inches, mostly 4 - 10 inches. 100+ cubic metre. £45 +VAT per cubic metre
  5. Ive got about 30 bulk bags currently from my processor... Will prob have 100 by the spring at this rate! My game keeper takes a couple and a mate with Hamster a handful here and there... Spoke to a friend with a livery and he reckons its no good for horse bedding. Heard a rumour it might be able to be sold for bio-mass to power stations or eddie stobart bio division? Long term I may look into a pellet mill myself to produce pellets. Just wonder what you guys do with it... Thanks in advance... Simon
  6. Hi, Hope your all busy busy delivering... Having problems with my x47 chain oiler... Chain doesn't appear to be getting oiled. Have cleaned bar out and checked feed hole is clear on mount. Oil seems to be coming out of oil tank cap when machine is running? Could this be pump has failed? Cheers
  7. I sense a repeat of this coming on... http://s1.postimg.org/w3p6bl69r/369sc.jpg' alt='369sc.jpg'> photos upload[/img]
  8. Hi thanks for your replies. Have just ordered new bar. Phoned numerous companies in the UK of try and get hold of one to no avail. Its a 404 - 71 link Oregon chain and the bar measures 59cm. In the end a very helpful guy at Lamberhurst Engineering has ordered one direct from Hakki for me. Should arrive in the next few days! Cheers Simon
  9. Hi all, I have a Hakki Pilke x47 and am having trouble with the chainsaw. It is is struggling to cut through logs without stoping. It feels like its catching... When it does cut it cuts well though. There is plenty of chain oil, chain is sharp and depth gauges correct. I have read on here than if the bar or sprocket is unevenly worn this can affect the chain angle and impact cutting. Is this the case as my sprocket is slightly worn and the bar has lip on the inside of one side. Can anyone recommend a good online retailer for parts? Thanks in advance! Simon
  10. Hi, I'm in need of some seasoned Hardwood cordwood to run through processor. 20 Ton min. Delivered Surrey, near Cobham. Doesn't seem to be much about... Thanks in advance... 😉
  11. Hi, new here... Did a log delivery the other day and had a customer ask me if I would be interested in pruning 120 large well established large Olive trees on a plot of land he owns just outside Marbella. He said they haven't been pruned for 10 years so wants the cut well back. The last time they were done the pile of wood was huge appently. Im estimating on 2 shipping containers full. I'm waiting for some pictures from him to get more of an idea. Do you think this could be viable considering the price that olive wood can command. Have seen one supplier charging £649 a pallet!!! Would need to look into shipping it back in containers or by road. I'm am based in Surrey and the market market down here for premium firewood is strong as is net bags... Many people in SW London don't have space to store loose loads... I've sold over 2000 30kg nets @ £7.50 this season!
