  1. Ha ha. Customer asked for it to be done in two stages due to a lmited budget,
  2. I've got one of these, it's slow for sure but so is the traffic round here. Makes the same amount of progress as a Porsche on the M42 on a Monday morning/evening 🙂
  3. Ha ha. Not sure I'm looking forward to part 2 🙂
  4. Not the nicest of climbs for sure. (Although I did enjoy it in a crazy kind of way 🙃) My foots taking its time to heal. In the tree it's not so bad as my weight is suspended a lot of the time. It's when I'm on it for prolonged periods it starts to hurt. Thanks for asking 🙂👍
  5. I think the Clinton campaign hit its nadir when Beyoncé and Jayzee hit the platform. It really shows a dearth of understanding into what really matters to the average working man or woman. Most of the people I talk to in the course of everyday life are sick of having an aggressive liberal agenda and political correctness rammed down their throats. Trump was the backlash.
  6. Stinking, rotten, ivy covered oak to do today. First proper climbing job since I broke my foot. Up in the top there was a lot more ivy than tree.Little bit of rigging but mainly free-falling stuff. Big thanks to Richie R for his hard work.
  7. I had some dessert called "Eton mess" recently. I'm beginning to wonder if it really was that nice now 😕
  8. Fig rolls are pretty grim.
  9. That explains a great deal about a lot of things! Perhaps this post should be in the conspiracy theory thread. 😀
  10. Nice shots. Used to live and work near there in Etwall. I used to use the horticulture suppliers there. Nice part of the world.
  11. http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/cars/article-3821186/London-s-Fulham-council-raises-12m-fines-yellow-box-junction.html Anyone been hit with this tax yet? Was down in London a few weeks ago and you really have to have your wits about you not to get clobbered with this one! 😡
  12. Do you have a link, Steve?
  13. I'll take a stab, Bob. £159 inc vat
  14. I just got an old hilux mk 3 with a tipper back and high sides, hope to convert it to fully enclosed chip box/ tool locker soon. Very good on fuel, excellent weight and towing capacity. Very useful.
  15. I'm surprised that Petzl haven't seen an opportunity for an SRT variant of the Zigzag. Having said that they've had a struggle getting it up to spec for ddrt.
  16. Hi Al. I wore it all summer and it was fine. I remember one of my mates offered me a cool pack to put in it and I didn't bother cos the heat didn't seem to bother me. So much do I didn't even think about it. The only slight downside is they can have a slight tendency to slip to the rear of your head. Didn't bother me much but my mate complained about it a few times. Apart from that it's a great hat. Ti
  17. Ladder to access and establish main anchor. Remove ladder , make your cuts around the outer stems. Leave the central stem 'til last and use chokered slings as foot holds.
  18. I haven't worn it for 7 weeks as I broke my foot. I'm back to work next week so I'll give it a sniff (yuk) and let you know. 😷. So far it's been a good hat. Comfy, and the visor and defenders have remained intact.
  19. A Bittersweet day. Sorry to see her go but glad she's gone to a good home. Look forward to seeing her progress on this thread. 👍
  20. It does! I know someone who did it. Problem got resolved very quickly.
  21. Happy Birthday Wayne! Have a good one and a tidy year ahead 👍👍
  22. When I did mine, about 3 years ago we used a chokered sling with a double pulley (side by side). That way both climbers systems could be attached to the overhead pulley.
  23. Really nice looking truck Steve.
  24. Likewise Jonny! So glad it's gone to a good home.. Look forward to seeing your progress.
  25. Sorry I meant 2 boccles ☺️
