  2. Thanks Richie! Hope you're having a good one 👍 Never a dull moment here!
  3. Happy Christmas to you too mate!! Definitely an unashamed plug 😇
  4. It certainly would be if our charity (Betel UK) was the beneficiary 🙂
  5. Happy Christmas Steve, bet the van was cheaper than the tyres!
  6. Tenacious
  7. I'm going to get back into TABATA cardio/weight high intensity circuits It's going to be like dragging a dead whale round to start with.
  8. Nice top Paul! Looking trim there mate. Unlike me, what with a busted foot and other work stuff, I haven't done any gym or climbing recently. Looking forward to getting back in the tree and down the gym in January. It's going to be a bit brutal though... looking to shed a few kilos. 🍰🎂🍧🍨🍮🍭🍴🍴🍵👍
  9. Happy Christmas Paul and the best for the new year
  10. Happy Christmas everyone. Hope you all have a fantastic time, 👍👍
  11. As others have said, wax isn't a practical finish for a dining table. I would recommend a modern acrylic finish. There are acrylic finishes out there that can be applied with a brush. Check out Mylands or Morrells or Bona.
  12. Happy Christmas Eve "Eve" to you all!
  13. Looks like a good set up there Jonny!
  14. Clutch lasted three years doing it that way (plus however long the previous owners had it). Not disputing what you and Huck are saying, wish I'd known before. I just took the dealers advice when we bought the chipper. Bit late to find out now.
  15. I tried on tick over but it wanted to stall all the time.
  16. Beech or oak. (If you can't find a monkey puzzle)
  17. I first used to use it at 2000rpm but the noise was colossal, literally like someone had landed a chinook in the street. Eventually I found it best to slowly feed the clutch in at 1000rpm, then once the pto was fully engaged gently build the revs up to 1500rpm.
  18. Looking good Jonny. Mog power means you won't hear the no-stress kick in very often! 👍
  19. We live near to a big fuel distribution centre in the midlands. All of the tankers with all of the different brands on the side of them seem to fill up at the same place. A friend of mine ran a petrol station for a couple of years. He told me, with a knowing look not to pay too much attention to the brand name on the sign. It makes me wonder how consistent the quality of fuel really is? Or how reliable the brand names are..... I'd say use Aspen or Motomix. Especially on a saw that wasn't used daily. We've had a couple of saws with scored pistons through suspect pump fuel.
  20. No the other side has no wear to speak of. Just a little glazed. I never readjusted as I had found the "perfect" fit.
  21. I didn't think they could be changed. Do you have any details? (Bought a new TM in the meantime)
  22. I checked mine couple of weeks ago and found this...,,, Seems to have happened as a result of chafing on the lower D's which is surprising as there are no rough edges. I set it up when I first bought it a couple of years ago and never re-adjusted it, ever. Note to self.. readjust the straps on the leg loops periodically to prevent it wearing out prematurely. I know this isn't the same issue highlighted in the OP but if if helps prevent the same happening to anyone else it's worth it.
  23. Monkey puzzle is my worst....
  24. Ha ha... "yeah. Sorry Jonny the chipper was crap mate, no wonder it was so cheap....... d'ya like my new chipper?" Oh, by the way that'll be £1500.. 😈😈😫😫
  25. Definitely not at the end of a branch, obviously. But, working at the end of limbs means that you would be cutting well away from your bridge. If I'm advancing through a large open canopy tree, I will often use my Zillon as primary support. Getting back to the original subject... I feel much safer on the Treemotion bridge than I would on the Buckingham Ergolite with its "Wickes blue polypropylene" looking rope bridge.
