  1. Thanks Matty. Trail has gone cold now. It will have been stripped by now. [emoji106]
  2. That’s what I’ve got on the car. We don’t keep any trucks here now.
  3. In Iceland where they are able to test a much higher percentage of the population, they have found that around 50% of those testing positive have absolutely no symptoms.. That’s a jarring statistic and little wonder it’s spreading like wildfire. Day 14 of quarantine today.. I just can’t shake a dry cough/chest infection I’ve had for a couple of weeks now. At first I didn’t think it was CV but I’m not so sure now.
  4. Went to watch these a few months ago in Nottingham.....
  5. Yes Paul. Started off with the Punk scene then New wave/Indy and underground festivals, then I got into very old style Blues, playing round the pub and club scene in the North West, that was in the mid eighties, around the same time I was going to a lot of all night Jamaican reggae/dub shebeens in Manchester, then from there I got into the underground rave scene hard house/ trance etc... Right now I’m more into jazz funk/ jazz and gospel. Bit of an eclectic journey.
  6. Even if you turn Siri off in your phone will still listen to you. Worst culprit would probably be WhatsApp, owned by Facebook. A friend and I were recently discussing fencing, (the sword fighting type) I started getting LOTS of ads for field and garden fence products popping up on my phone. That sort of thing has been going on for ages. Bound to be the tip of the iceberg when it comes to surveillance from the intelligence agencies.
  7. Motomix here. If we ever get caught short, I hate doing it but I’ll buy fresh fuel and I keep a couple of Stihl one shots for that purpose. Once we’ve finished, the unused mix gets used in the blower or hedge cutters.
  8. Collectors item.....
  9. If its characteristics and performance to weight ratio is comparable to the 462, it should be a cracking saw.
  10. I’ve been in isolation for coming up to 14 days now.. thought I’d be ok but as my chest infection hasn’t cleared up yet it’s extended quarantine for me. I did have to break it and deal with a windblown conifer in the front garden the other day.
  11. During the course of LOLER inspection work I have come across quite a few ZIgZag Mk 2 devices with hairline cracks, usually on the top links. Since Petzl improved the design and increased the material in and the size of the links, I haven’t seen (or heard) of any reoccurrence of the problem on the later edition (Mk3) I would be even more surprised to hear that the new generation larger devices would suffer from this kind of defect. This video explains and demonstrates the limits of the ZigZag’s performance and capability comprehensively and goes a long way to inspire confidence. https://youtu.be/xB5shC1SaSM

    Jokes???

  14. I have very mixed feelings about Trump... Not sure that calling it the Chinese virus is any more helpful than saying ‘it’s all under control’ it’ll be fine’
  15. We have a lot of people dependent on our businesses. Whatever help we get, at least we can take comfort that we will get more help than the Chinese doctors who tried to warn everyone. China's Coronavirus Coverup -- Devastating Lies | National Review WWW.NATIONALREVIEW.COM And the irreparable damage they have caused around the globe.
  16. Still on day 9 of 14 isolation, suffering from cabin fever and a nasty but ‘traditional’ chest infection, but....once I’m up and about. I’m going to practice my drumming rudiments. Clean and LOLER my kit. Valet the car Do some ivy-strips and dead-woofing on our trees.
  17. Great video Ian, very enjoyable. Nice set up you got there, good skills behind and in front of the camera. thanks for posting. [emoji106]
  18. Think August Hunicke has a couple out there from a while back.
  19. Restored furniture - Restored, upcycled, vintage furniture – Betel Restored Furniture RESTOREDFURNITURE.CO.UK A wide range of restored, painted, shabby chic and classic furniture, restored by a national charity working with the homeless and addicted. This is ours. (Not personally involved in it day to day, but have done a bit over the years) Was never much cop at the carpentry side of it, but used to know my way around staining and lacquering. Hope it works out for you.
  20. High speed dandruff maybe...

    Lock Down?

Agreed.Mark, but I think anyone would feel and look a bit out of their depth right now. Being responsible for the lives of scores of millions of people, trying to get them not to die can’t be an easy burden. Probably a good cure for a mild case of megalomania. Time to stick together and help each other.. It will be interesting to (hopefully) see where things are this time next year. Shalom! (Live long and prosper)

    Lock Down?

I’m on day 5 of a 14 day isolation, heavy seasonal cold, with cough and my mrs has asthma and respiratory issues so we are playing safe. Don’t do a massive amount of climbing/tree work these days so I’ve got work I can do from home that will keep me kind of productive. Did a big windblown conifer the other day. Don’t fancy this for 12 weeks at all.
