  1. Too late, Youtube has taken it down....

    Covid-19

China to the rescue....... how convenient.
  3. I got a pair of these recently, absolutely love them.. mainly for hiking but really comfy. Maybe a bit on the ‘sturdy’ side for what you want. Well worth a look though..
  4. Combine what this documentary alleges with the tracking app ‘advice’ and it raises serious concerns.... Definitely worth a watch whatever your views.....

    ULEZ

Haha..... Yes, scientists who haven’t been able to predict a single thing right in the last two months can somehow tell us what the weather will be like in 100 years time... [emoji57]
  6. Shame it didn’t work...... it’s way past time that narco-criminal was removed..
  7. It’s beginning to look like a lot of established firms will be more like ‘start-ups’ once restrictions finally get lifted. Maybe that will be a good thing if some of the big monopolies are broken. I think one of the downsides of free-market capitalism is that eventually the big corporations swallow everything up. Amazon being a case in point. I’ll be buying as little as I can through them, and as much as I can from the local high st once the lockdown is over
  8. I’m still alive and not in prison. [emoji51]
  9. I have Siri turned off on my phone and restrict access to my microphone and I still get adverts for ‘things’ I’ve just been talking about. (Very creepy) Why don’t they just ask us to put a chip in our foreheads .....
  10. RIP Dave Greenfield... Stranglers keyboardist....
  11. As others have said... I’ll only use this method chogging down a stem. I usually choker the spliced end back into the main line, either with a running bowline or a Krab if I’m being lazy (usually) I’m always very careful not to stress the Zigzag but I’m confident I can get down quick in an emergency. I’m sure the ‘police’ could take issue with this if they wanted, but it works for me. If I do need to go back up I have my lanyard and spikes.
  12. Joined the local Chambers of Commerce and they sent all the info in a help pack.
  13. Yes we have...
  14. Say what you like about this government.... I was speaking with a friend who lives in Spain. The government there has given zero help to businesses, zero help to charities, zero help with rent and rates....... the government announced €200 billion but it’s not materialising. So much for thinking we’d be better off remaining in the EU.
  15. The fact that people actually believed that Trump was literally instructing them to inject bleach into themselves is the VERY SAME reason why we have to have ‘caution may contain nuts’ on a packet of KP peanuts or ‘caution contents may be hot’ on a cup of coffee.
  16. Just call it ‘Greta’.
  17. Solid gold....
  18. Cmon guys... seriously, as a community we should be lifting each other up.. is everyone doing ok? Does anyone in my area need anything? Is anyone struggling to get food/supplies? Etc... despite our differences I thought we were better than this.....
  19. Good post...
  20. [emoji23]
  21. The Stein Vega is a good, reasonably comfy, entry level harness.
  22. Just found out a friend of mine died of CV19 today. I think the hospital did everything they could for him. It was the virus that killed him.. not shortages of equipment or bad decisions by politicians. The nurses treating him did the best with what they had.... I’ve read loads of articles, just about all of them pushing a political agenda, blaming Trump, China, The WHO (Tedros not Townsend) Boris. Iran, Israel Etc etc. The simple truth is, that there isn’t going to be enough PPE, maybe if China had been more open about the danger of the virus at the end of 2019 we might be in a better place....maybe, but at the rate at which it must be getting used it seems unlikely... To be honest I’m tired of reading articles that try to make political ‘capital’ out of this horrible situation, and I find myself despising the media outlets that are doing it...(On every side). I’m grateful I don’t live in S Africa...
  23. Looks like a recent change by Teufelberger. Like Tommy says it’s kosher.

I don’t blame him for wanting to hold Tedros to account. A man who wanted to appoint Robert Mugabe as a goodwill ambassador for the WHO..... and used it as a platform to champion China’s human rights record... (I’ll just let that sink in for a minute) Trump’s mismanagement of the crisis pales into insignificance when you look a little deeper at the root causes of the pandemic.
