  1. Interesting thing about this graph is that it has ‘forgotten’ to include China, the very country that spawned the pandemic.....
  2. Indeed, it never ceases to amaze me how we instantly demand, justice, retribution and punishment for people’s misdeeds... particularly if they happen to be from across the other side of the political divide.. when it comes to ourselves, or one of our own we tend to be much more gracious....
  3. Done....Interesting topic, particularly in the light of recent developments in the industry.
  4. You should rename this thread.... In disparate times... my depravity saved the day.
  5. Smugglers make a killing off the backs of the misery of the migrants. Word gets around that there is a new cross-channel service available courtesy of an escort from the French authorities, who can blame them for making a bid to get here. As harsh as it is, I wonder how many lives have ultimately been saved by the Australian approach of turning boats back around? Word soon spreads not to bother....
  6. I used to work for a guy that made habitat piles out of broken asbestos sheets, car tyres and fridges...
  7. ?. Classic
  8. This is one of the things that grabs my attention.... there seems to be a huge agenda in developing vaccines and medical treatments. ‘Big Pharma’ seems to be in the driving seat where a lot of the decisions are being made. Money talks. Dr Fauci’s coronavirus research has a very chequered history if you look into it, and it is he that stands to make a fair bit of coin from this pandemic due to him being a major stakeholder.....
  9. I don’t have any particular axe to grind one way or the other.... I simply saw this stat and realised it is a different way of looking at the mortality rate... maybe it isn’t accurate, but I don’t think it’s 20% either. So it’s not going to be that far out. Like I said in my previous post... worldometers puts the mortality rate in NY state among those infected at 0.28% (scant consolation if it’s your loved ones affected) I definitely think we should protect the vulnerable and the NHS but not by tanking the National economy. Far more people are dying through alcohol, drugs and tobacco related illnesses... I don’t see that much of a concerted effort to shut those businesses down (for those reasons, anyway?) Perspective is a funny thing......
  10. I think this refers to surviving the pandemic. Worldometers puts the mortality rate for those actually infected with Covid-19 in New York (one of the the worst affected areas) at 0.28%
  11. Came across this yesterday...
  12. Spend some of yer hard earned petro-dollars you tight git. [emoji51]
  13. Lots of Interchangeable attachments available for the Goldoni as well, unlike the Camon which is a (very slow) one trick pony.
  14. We’ve had a few Camon’s then we bought a Goldoni..... you’d never want to go back to a Camon after that.
  15. My trip to the states is definitely not happening now, gutted. It’s taken 8 years to get a visa waiver. We’re going to go next year now, hopefully by then it will be worth the expense.... Hopefully we’ll get to go on a ‘little’ break somewhere nice later in the year
  16. I’ve always found Arborisk very competitive and pleasant to deal with.
  17. Look on the bright side Mark.... we could have had the EU take charge of measures to navigate us through the pandemic...
  18. Me too..,
  19. The Reverend Richard Penniman, if you don’t mind Mr S. [emoji51] Finally went home, old and ‘full of years’

    Covid-19

Mark, I’ve been ‘clean’ for quite a while from BB. [emoji57] I’m not so much pro-Trump as pro-people. I look at the blatant corruption and rank hypocrisy of the Dems over there on a vast scale of issues, it staggers me that people can think that they are the supposed ‘morality’ ticket. Trust is a very scarce commodity. (I see the #MeToo movement has just collapsed under the sheer weight of the media silence and double standard surrounding the Tara Reade allegations) To say that Trump is the better of the options is no compliment to him, it’s just a damning indictment on how truly awful the left is over there. Just as a matter of interest... does anyone seriously think that Biden is a good candidate? I mean...really?? He actually makes Trump look very sharp and together... Personally, I think he will withdraw at an opportune moment (maybe for ‘health’ reasons) and the ‘real’ candidate will make their entrance.

    Covid-19

Tracker apps, Covid passports, mandatory vaccines (Once Fauci and his crony’s have secured the patents of course) the onset of the cashless society.... All sounds a bit sinister to me. I keep thinking of the 46,000 pensioners that died of the cold last year that no one gives a snot about.. Something does not add up..
