  3. That ash looks fantastic. I collected a load coloured like that for firewood but the colour faded to normal ash grey. I cut a few bowl blanks from it but most of it still ended up as logs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. First bowl in ages. My wife asked for a ring of somebody's logs on Facebook so I could make a cake stand but it was too small. Split it and chucked it on the lathe today and whatever it was turned very nicely. Still very green but I've turned it to finish. It's had a coat of danish.   13. Mostly iPad followed by iPhone. I use the tapatalk app on both of them as I find it easier then looking via safari, especially adding images. Plus it works for a couple other forums that I'm in Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  18. I got one off eBay that looks exactly the same as the Aldi one. It gives me results I'd expect. Recently felled and freshly split beech around 40% so if I split something seasoned and it says 20% thereabouts i tend to believe it enough. My logs burn lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
