  1. Just read all your updates from the start. Excellent work from from everyone involved. You should be very proud. And good on all the sponsors making it possible
  2. Me too. For the same reason mostly
  3. Thanks mate I'll try download them now
  4. Like your style skyhuck. Problem solver
  5. B&Q closing down? Have they gone pop
  6. Does anyone know where I could find these. I completed my course last week and was given hard copy LANTRA workbooks, but it would be a lot handier if I could stick it on my iPad as either a PDF or E Reader file. Thank you
  7. That'd be great Steve. I'll get in touch when I've got some spare time and try and arrange something that's suits you
  8. Yeah I was mostly thinking of bowls for starters Steve. What sort of chisels will I be needing. They come in all sorts of shapes and sizes.
  9. That's very kind thanks very much There's no other bits with it I guess they went missing. Would getting a chuck be easier than the faceplate. I can't help with the horny witch we're watching only fools here
  10. Thanks. So it's worthwhile hanging onto as a beginners lathe?
  11. That's the info label. The piece that's already mounted is screwed straight onto the faceplate, and was there when I was given it
  12. Don't really know if it's much cop. But was hoping if I got myself some chisels I'd be able to have a bash at turning a bowl or two Thanks for any advice
  13. I didn't remeber that getting said. It was a few year ago now
  14. A bit different but I remeber local news had a builder removing a porch from someone's house as the materials were still his. On top of that it was a council house and a spokesman from them said the tenant was responsible as part of the tenancy agreement to ensure the property was returned to its original state. So they'd still end up paying and not having a porch
  15. Did you hear about the tree surgeon recruited by the mafiA. He was a goodfeller
  16. This one is guaranteed to choke up anyone who's served
  17. Yeah they're all from the same tree. The photo has come out dark on my phone but it's a lot pinker in the flesh
  18. February Jon from Nordic outdoor. It's 5 1/2 lb in total. Not sure what the head weighs on its own
  19. I'm the same mate. Was using a cheapo 6 1/2 lb maul until I was borrowed a grandfors splitting axe. Now I've got the large splitting axe and love it. It's an absolute dream to use compared to the big old maul
  20. Boxing is probably easier on the knees. Especially if your not taking it too seriously and pounding the pavements everyday
  21. My missus would love that cockerel carving in our garden
  22. That's a good idea. My logs are left longer 10-12" but the father in law only has a small burner
  23. Hasn't shown quite as clear as I thought but the darker wood in the middle was very pink
  24. Some beech a was splitting for my father in law was a great colour I thought.
