  1. That's stunning twig Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Just search Lifeproof case on Amazon John. About 40 quid for iPhone six. Do look pretty tidy cases as well to be fair. ATB mick Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Name calling now. I must be wrong haha. So the lease ran out and it was returned to China. You didn't answer my question though. Who would the FI be handed back to. The people who live there are British Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. So if it was the Isle of Wight that was invaded instead would it be ok to defend that because it has a nicer climate. Or is there still not enough BRITISH living there to make it worth our while. This issue is black and white for me. Our country's armed forces went to liberate our countrymen. The hand back deal like Hong Kong can't be compared. Hong Kong was given back because the Nationals who lived there wanted it back. In 1980 the FI was populated almost entirely by British settlers and their decendants. So who would we give it back to? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Are you now suggesting the FI isn't sovereign territory Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Well that's that sorted haha. Right then, Gaza. What do you suggest there Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. [quote name=Vespasian;1378525 What about motive' date=' why lie?.....to hide her shame... sinking a ship that was on its way home.. The woman was despicable..[/quote] I don't see why the fact it was heading home matters in the slightest. It was an enemy ship, operating at the very limit of the exclusion zone, so was judged to be a threat. Was it immoral to shoot down German bombers after they'd already dropped their payload on London as they were only on their way home! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Blair went with bush, for whatever motive you care to believe. Thatcher sent our boys alone to take back British territory from an occupying military force Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. RIP. Strange how one tragedy gets all the attention and another goes barely noticed. Maybe because Paris is just too close to home Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I guess I'll just have to keep an eye out when I'm splitting firewood. Thank you Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I was thinking about these the other day. I don't imagine they're much good for dog owners if you want them to mow a lawn that the dogs are allowed to crap on! Could be messy Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Is that something you would see before you split the tree open Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I'm not great at ID but I can manage that one haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Luckily. It's next on haha Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Anybody know what has made this silver birch turn this colour. It's a shame really this has ended up in the firewood pile and not on the lathe but I'm quite restricted on storage space for blanks at the minute. I'd guess it's some sort of disease maybe I was hoping maybe if I know what causes it I'd be able to watch out for any more and not log them up. Thanks mick Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. I bought a pair of oregan type A trousers for about £70 and for cutting firewood at home can't complain. I had to wear chaps on a course and found its more a case of one size fits no one! The tops just gathered up round the front and were really bloody annoying. Wouldn't reccommend them at all Edit to add link http://www.radmoretucker.co.uk/category/Front_Protection/product/Oregon_Yukon_Chainsaw_Trousers_Type_A/ £62
  17. I watched that last night John. I can't believe the amount of waste on that one carrot farm purely because they don't meet cosmetic standards! I genuimely thought that all the veg thats a bit wonky, too big, too small still went into the food chain at a cheaper price, either sold loose, or in bulk to trade, catering etc. It's scandalous really. Although like was said last night, its not all the supermarkets fault, the supermarkets are responding to customer behaviours. That parsnip situation was ridiculous though cancelling orders once a crop has already been lifted
  18. Managed to get into the shed long enough to finish this bit of spalted birch. 8" across Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. That's really different twig great looking finish Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. We get this, especially if its really cold outside. When im ready ti light it I open a window a crack, then light a rolled up piece of newspaper and shove it right up through the flue opening at the back of our burner. it starts to draw that pretty quick then i can light the paper and kinling and push the doors to. Not ideal opening a window on a cold day but its only a couple of minutes. When my chimney was swept the sweep told me the flue should be taller as it is well below the ridge line
  21. Thanks for the link 10 bears. Shame it's no good I was looking for something to go in my venison and ale pie Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Think I e found the answer on Google. Birch polypor? Not good eating Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Seen this growing on a birch. Is it chicken of the woods (words to that effect haha) and is it tasty Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Thanks alycidon. I didn't know if cutting the rope would make it fray. The studs are ok. I was worried they wouldn't move without shearing off but they freed off. Thanks for your help Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. The seal needs replacing around the glass. I looked on eBay and all the self adhesive flat rope for glass is 10 or 12mm. But the recess for the glass is only 5mm wide. Is there another option for sealing the glass in, or do I just leave half the tape hanging out the edge. Thanks in advance Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
