  1. Piston guided con rod so no issue with side to side movement, up and down movement is what your hoping not to find.
  2. I think he is just testing us, I could have said just hum in the skip and get a far better machine, a Husqvarna K770.
  3. It has a deco valve, is it blocked?
  4. I am quite amazed it ran any sense at all.
  5. It all looks like it’s there, I have never seen a link rod actually fall off, if it did it would still be hanging about? This is a very early carb as can be seen by the angle of the fuel inlet pipe on the carb, I have plenty of scrap carbs if you want a link rod, just send me a message. If the tank breather is still connected to the filter elbow with a hose remove it and leave the breather open to air, you can also turn the carb fuel inlet elbow round so as to move the fuel hose away from the back of the cylinder area, you will need to shorten the hose, these two things help hot re starting.
  6. Black and Decker! don’t tell me it has racing brushes in it, a lightened and tuned armature, go faster stickers, and a racing field coil, you will have to post pictures of this titan of an electric chainsaws.
  7. Excellent.
  8. There is no picture on the pump itself, why parts have they ordered?
  9. I have also seen these melt the oil pump drive gear, this then welds it to the pump body, it can happen if the clutch comes loose on the saw over run, the drum moves out and disengages from the pump gear, when the saw accelerates again the clutch and drum wind back on the crank, unfortunately the drum is now sitting on top of the gear forcing it into the pump body. Not a dealer job, just remove the clutch and pull drum and gear off crank to assess what has happened.
  10. Got to get those emission figures.
  11. 555 is a really nice saw, no crankcase stuffers and different cylinder and software, this makes it less manic than the 560xp, the mark 11 machines have the same air filter as the 550xp mark 11, the main bearings are the same for both models and now you have the same bearing both sides,
  12. Cable adjustment possibly.
  13. It will not be a GX engine, it is a GCV with vac fuel pump, traditionally Flymo’s ( which is what it is ) have a fixed throttle, there is no need for an idle, the opc lever applies the brake and ignition cut out micro switch, the throttle will be fixed in the full throttle position, the engine governor will take care of over revving and increase the revs under load conditions, hover mowers are the spawn of satan, I hate the damn things.
  14. As always Steve you are correct it was open transfer port, it was also different from the 630 as the carb screws went through the carb, the block and into the cylinder, the 630 had the block screwed to the cylinder and the carb bolted to it.
  15. The 630 was the Husqvarna 162, the 670 was the 266, and the 625 was the 61.
  16. If it were a mark 11 it would have the later chain brake with plastic handle, but good shout.
  17. Husqvarna still own Jonsered, Partner, and Mcculloch, They are still available in many countries, but unfortunately no longer sold in the UK.
  18. Saps? However if we are talking about the heated handles, then you need to do a continuity test from the wire that connects to the generator up to the switch, no continuity then no handle heating, I have never had to replace a generator, they never go wrong unless the wire is broken, this is an old saw so prone now to wires breaking, the heater element runs on the underside of the top handle, so and damage in this area will break the contact , it is not possible to have just one handle working.
  19. I have now looked at a saw, the splined adjuster screws are now larger on the mark 11 435, and also the 445 and 450, the tool part no. I posted is correct for the screws.
  20. The magnet is part of the trigger, I have in the past re glued them if the come loose.
  21. 530035560 is the old splined adjusting tool, the part no. I gave in a previous post is the correct tool, and to confirm it is still available.
  22. I will check out tomorrow.
  23. Try 598846901. 5mm 20t
