  1. I have one on the farm with a beaver front loader and rear digger it's got the standard transmission which can be a pain when using the loader but you just put up with it. Other then that it's a good machine might not get used from month to month but when we do its starts and runs fine
  2. I went for a front steer over a articulated steer as I thought you would loose traction when pulling a trailer but I think that they are more agile between the trees
  3. I will give them a ring thanks for your help
  4. Any one in the Essex, Suffolk area know where the best place to get 6mm wire rope? Thanks in advance
  5. Expanded mesh is what i used very strong
  6. It has a 4.7 meter reach crane which helps a lot, the only thing is I had to make some bolster extentions for it as the load area is on the small side. but as Chris said on long hall routes it's better off getting it to the edge and getting a bigger machine in to move it the rest
  7. It would probley run off it's own hydraulics
  8. There is a gap under the rad on the agt850 I put a plate on mine but more for the fact I was worried about a branch coming up and damaging some thing
  9. I think it's 9 meters but don't quote me on that and I also think it depends on the power it has going through it
  10. I used to live in Polstead mum and dad have a fruit farm there also work around the area to what about you??
  11. The fuel station in Stoke by nayland and I also think the one in boxford also fill up for you
  12. Some times it's who you know not what you know. Go talk to some local contractors say what your thinking of doing you might find that they will have you subbing for them which will help you gain more exspereance in the industry. Also approach woodland owners as well and explain your situation they might be willing to help you out. you can't sell the timber if you don't have it in the first place hope this is some help it's always a learning curve the one thing I will say is it's not easy as I think graham said you sometimes have to do it for the love. Good luck
  13. I love my tifor it's got me out of some wet and tricky situations pulled out tracked when you get it stuck in that spot which you think it will get through and it don't, leaning trees and hung up and them nasty wind blown. I would not go felling with out it. I have the 800kg version I can carry it out to the woods in one go with strops and every thing you need
  14. Mine dose the same and it's not overly old yet fill up with pump fuel and stihl Hp two stroke oil but it has been left a few months over harvest not being used
  15. I got one as said before very comfy but only just shower proof dose get very warm though very quick and durable but dose not keep you dry
  16. That's my set up. The thing I found was when contracting I could not get enough on the trailer to make it viable for every one so I made bolster extent ions. If you do get a riko don't get brakes on the trailer I have them on mine and you can't move the axel forward because the pipes fowl good tractor though awesome crane will lift a lot for the size of crane and also has a very light foot print. The only thing I would not get for sssi is band tracks as turning might make them cut in to much
  17. What did he use to make them?? Going to put them on mine. going to fill the trailer with junk as well. Had a couple of punchers and it always happens when loaded and at the farthest point
  18. Do you have valve guards as well??
  19. I've filled mine up with water. Wheel weights would be better but I was to cheep at the time to get some
  20. My agt 850 with front gard and led lights
