  2. If the work was there steep or flat I would take it really. At the moment not much just seeing if there was some interest in it really before I went and got one
  3. I was thinking of a alstor 8x8 or a small alpine with a timber trailer would like some thing that can be moved easily really. I think I would go more along the lines of a compact as would be more versatile any thoughts??
  4. Hello all. I am thinking of investing in either a compact forwarder or a compact tractor and timber trailer to either hire out on a self drive basis or with driver. Would this be some thing people would be interested in hiring. Just want to test the waters a bit. Would be based around Suffolk Norfolk and Essex and the surrounding counties.

In the wood I mainly use my 550xpg on a 15inch bar on a semi chisel chain with a 8 tooth sprocket awesome saw will fell big timber all day and it's light weight well balanced and power full for a small saw also run a 372xpg on a 20" and a 24 inch bar to but that's mainly as a back up for the bigger timber still a awesome saw though

  8. Sorry about the spelling was writing this while balling. Well he want to use it for fire wood for him self. The person who owns the poplar want him to make him a offer for it and he wants to know how much to offer him for the standing poplar

  12. I'm trying to get round to selling it as fire wood as we have a fruit farm and are replacing a load of the trees and have a lot of it lye about the place
  13. Don't think it is being phased out as only done the windblown within the last week
  14. I just did me big trees and windblown tree corse with Roland. And found it brilliant. He Tailored the corse round me and I learnt alot of other little cuts and tricks not included in the corse scedual and he hopefully sorted out my saw and with the accommodation included was still a lot cheaper then a lot of the training people round my area and they only offered one corse would recommend him quite happily to any one.
  15. I run a 372xpg and a 550xpg and I know what you mean dose look old compared but it's still a awesome saw love it
  16. Felling chestnuts a couple of weeks ago and sap was pouring out of it like a hose
  17. Put a grab rotator on a hitachi 5 ton and had it as you say the grab on the 3rd service and rotate on the crowd service and just had a change over valve from crowed to rotate so that you could keep the quick hitch at any angle you want

    Cscs is just the health and safety part needed to work on site really easy would read up as there is questions about fire extinguishers which could stump you

    With noroso you have to get 30 point over 3 years and I dont think they run out
  20. I had the same problem. Mentioned Otto the dealer and said about washing the air filter and it worked so that might be worth a try
  21. Bloody rabbits had to put 1800 tree guards round young fruit trees had rabbit netting round them but they got through that
  22. Recently brought a 372 and they said if I had problems with the decompression valve they would change free off charge so it could well be a problem huqvarna know about
  23. 550xpg best saw I have ever used. So much power for a small saw to. But have had one or two problems with it not warm starting very well
