  8. Couldn't agree more In previous life I had to have accountant who could do audits to a v high level for financial services Not many are registered to do this They were 110% crap and charged an absolute fortune ....think five times normal fee It woudn't have been so bad if they had saved what they charged but they made no effort whatsoever......... Its all a lemon
  9. I was looking at filing late, but got em in yesterday But so long as you ask them to post out your username/login before 1st feb they give you till the 12th to file Have you noticed that the govt used to tell us how much they raised .....but they stopped doing it few years ago I think thatduck house fiasco cost them billions and they can't admit it
  10. They aint bananas that have to be sold in the next week or they're ruined If they're cut n stored properly should be no problem Gamble is if price will go up or down whilst in store Lots of guys on here complaining price of raw material is going up And woodburners are still selling well So good chance price of logs will go up .......possibly a lot But local market might vary Too But then I don't believe in money in the bank, why let suits use your money......

  15. This is not customers problem Its manufacturers ........ Let them sort it out Grass him up ........ How would you feel if you had quote out And behind your back your lad told customer " but we'll charge you extra to clear stuff up" So you'd be constantly losing jobs and not knowing why How long would you keep the lad after you found out what he'd been doing ?
  16. I worked in warranty for 15 years He's talking bo**ocks If manufacturer knew what damage he's doing to their reputation they'd probably sack him Yes repairers get lower rate for warranty work, but they agree the contract with manufacturer .......... Grass him up to manufacturer ......
  17. The good news is my accountant is back from Australia ....... Works like lightening and not too expensive That means I might get outside this week .....with the rain and snow getting cabin fever Got to work out my travelling expenses --- if you use your own transport you can claim per mile ( covers push bikes too) and if you cover xxx miles you can claim for lunch -- this has served me well in the past.....it all adds up ...... Legal guy told me to buy a bit of stationary on seperate invoice every time I go to supermarket ........as round trip 50 miles I can claim for lunch as well as mileage ....so pencil costs about £35 As he says " is it your fault your incompetant about buying stationary?" I hate all this but it does pay
