  10. When I was assessor got call to go and look at american mobile home belonging to a large national company Somebody at co had told them to strip it down They had left engine in bay but removed every part from it including crank, pistons etc --- Utterly bonkers - they then quoted company £15k to put it back together At this point company discovered someone had fitted a turbo so warranty was invalid Garage were out to screw company, and thought they had them Early days of internet, but I contacted USA and bought brand new crated engine for £3500 moved vehicle and saved them £10k I could never undertand why they hadn't removed engine ..... Did something similar in mercedes main agent with international sports star He'd taken it in with ' funny noise ' from engine Mercedes agent had removed engine and totally stripped it to every component Nothing showed lightest damage/wear so bill was totally down to him He did it again following with another assessor Exensive hobby Have had both mercedes and bmw garages strip engines that have thrown a rod through the block --- just to check if its repairable ! Then invoiced customer for 8 hours useless work ..... I hate mercedes and bmw garages,

  18. Thats very like my jotul number 1 in kitchen Will burn pretty much anything, I've even burned wet alder on one occasion When we had power cut wondered why woodburner rusty, it wasn't rust just glowing And if you pile embers in font of flue roars away in seconds Downside is very dusty when you open door No hot water which I want for central heating
  19. Lots of real people ......doing real things I'm heartily sick of the mad world we live in .......politicians who know nothing, government employees who know less but tell me what to do ( continually), people wasting ( my) money on crap, the cuddly bunny brigade, just makes you want to scream Just want to close farm gate, padlock it, and retreat until they find their senses.....
  20. At moment I have three woodburners two jotuls and a multifuel but its all a bit too much effort, got screwed last year as we had 14 feet of snow and logs were stored 200 yards away, electric bill was over £1500, So this year demolishing derelict barn next to house and putting "patio" right next to kitchen door, at end of summer will remove table chairs etc and fill patio with ibc containers next to kitchen door ....... Looking to replace jotul in kitchen with new model to run around 10 radiators and hot water Never had house with central heating, so will be new experience for me ! Any suggestions re make of new woodburner gratefully received ......Trying to keep costs down too ........
