If the trees in the area are quite diverse, you could give them a piece of paper with the shape of some leaves and the name of the trees, and get them to try and find the leaf that fits each picture, teach them tree identification! TGB's safety points are obviously relevant again for this one! -
There are some great Blec ones - we hire out the Uniseeder pedestrian overseeder and the tractor mounted Disc seeder and Multiseeder if you're looking at bigger machinery.

We hire out the Barreto Rotovators which are excellent - if it can survive being hired it must be pretty robust! Might be worth seeing if you can get one of them from somewhere? One issue with less known brands can be getting the replacement parts - have a check and see if you can get hold of them easily and cheaply, especially if they are coming from abroad. A cheaper initial outlay may lead to higher costs further down the line! We hire out Carlton Stump Grinders, which are brilliant. Have you had a look on Arbtrader? -

Hello Avantgardener, Acacia Groundcare can deliver you a Carlton SP2010 and SP4012, they aren't tracked but the 2010 is great for getting through smaller spaces between trees and the wheels are ideal for rough/muddy surfaces. If you cannot find what you are looking for just get in touch! We're just over in Henfield, by Brighton. -

The Ecoplugs are a great option for being environmentally friendly, especially for use around waterways. They are pretty easy to use with low chance of injury etc, and they will fit in small areas that a machine might not. The downsides seem to be that they take 4-6 weeks to kill the stump (a touch longer than a stump grinder!) and they recommend the use of 7 plugs for an 11" stump diameter which could get expensive! If you have any environmentally concerned customers, they would be ideal.

Acacia use/hire out Greenmech Chippers, which are absolutely brilliant. The Greenmech team have thought of so many useful touches! Even though the Greenmech is more money to start, the repairs/servicing costs may end up being much lower - maybe look into the cost of parts for them both. Have you thought about hiring both for a day or getting a demonstration from the dealers so you can get a feel for the features and differences? - Acacia Groundcare
